He said it was his coaching staff .They have a new o coordinator but it doesn't show that falls on coaching.
It is so time for some new blood in knoxville!

The "O" coord modified his system to fit the current level of talent at Bammer. He's formerly of Fresno St. and would run thing more wide open but JPW isn't the right guy for it and they have such a massive O line anyone would be a fool not to use the approach Bammer is using.
We're being flexible. We have an incapable QB (apparently) and appear to run the ball reasonably, even though the opposition can predict almost every running down.
We're throwing on every 2nd and 3rd down until our QB situation is straightened out, wins be damned. That's flexibility as it relates to outcomes, right?
This past week was the first time I have had a chance to sit down and watch a bama game from whistle to whistle.
Here's my assessment. Would be interested in what others thought.
Bama's first 11 is pretty good. The offensive line has been playing together since they were all freshmen, basically. They've got three average running backs who benefit from playing behind that line. The defense is fast and the secondary is pretty good. The solid secondary and good defensive line masks a deficiency at linebacker.
But after that first 11 things drop off dramatically on both sides of the ball.
The key to beating Bama is to deny them the fast start. They come out, hit you as hard as they can with the first team and hope to knock you off your game. Any team that can withstand the first quarter barrage will have a better than average chance of beating them as fatigue and pain depletes the starting group. Opponents have to look for and take advantage of the occasions with the front-liners are out of the game. It will take coordinators who know how to maximize matchups (a significant disadvantage for AU on offense, sadly).
Bama is not the steamroller the media would love for them to be. They can (and hopefully will) be beaten by teams prepared for the first quarter of shock and awe.
