I saw it on the Alabama board the other day. I have seen it in several places, but most being things that are not 100% reliable.

Supposedly, Texas offered him 100 million for 10 years.

Several people aren't buying it, but a few Bama fans are worried.

Would be awesome. Probably just hire Chris Peterson or Gary Patterson though. I'd rather have Nick Saban but would be interesting to see what those guys could do with SEC talent.

Maybe they'll pull another Saban and hire Carroll away from Seattle.

All hypothetical of course because I highly doubt Saban leaves. 100 million to do nothing at Texas would be a sweet gig though. Recruiting would be simple and the conference would be easier to win.

I have a feeling if they doubled his salary he would leave. He doesn't like being in one place too long, and he's intelligent enough to realize Texas would be insanely easy to win at. I just don't see Texas having the balls to fire Brown.

Moving upward is not the same as disliking staying put. Saban has said several times that if he had it to do over again, he'd still be at LSU.

Texas will most likely go after Chizik, and Auburn will promote Malzahn.

Mack has ALOT more political capital to burn through, his job is still very safe. He is buddies with the AD and many of the big $ boosters (and there are many).

Baseless rumor IMO.

I could see Saban being wildly succsessfull in Austin without having to compete against the likes of Miles, Petrino and Chizik. Not to mention Austin is 1000 times a nicer town than the trailer park of Tuscaloosa.

I think Austin's decent for Texas, but not all that great... Still looks like San Diego compared to anywhere in Alabama.

Good one. Had me going there for a moment.

He'd go at least 11-1 every season....OU would be the toss up game. He'd win way more there than at Bama.
