Despite the Haslams & the Administration continuing to make questionable hires, there’s one obvious reason how it all started going downhill after Fulmer left...

Nick Saban started becoming successful as Bama’s HC.

Since then, it’s been pretty much a one man league whose dominance cannot be touched.

Sad but it’s the truth.

I don’t see any other team getting close to a National Championship as long as Nick Saban is still coaching.

It's the only reason i say we stick with a "recruiter coach" and bide our time till saban's retirement.

Have to give credit where it's due. He has built a machine, and it's great for Bama fans. I agree with the above poster about hurting CFB though. I've lost interest because i know what's going to happen before it does. There's no romance to it anymore.

Used to be this way with Nebraska and Florida State and to an extent Tennessee. It's all cyclical.

There's lots of teams around the country that lay the pedal down every week , knowing a national title is a pipe dream. I want a team that loves to play and compete.

Saban is the reason we went 1-5 in the SEC East this year?

Also, Saban didn’t “start becoming successful” when he got to Alabama...pretty sure he was 48-16 and won a National title at LSU before he got to Tuscaloosa.

I'd just like to be able to beat Vandy, Missouri, and South Carolina. I don't think Saban has anything to do with our inability to do that
