Ryan Williams, typical Alabama thug

Right. He heard nothing about the shooting in nearby Birmingham, In a Black Community, no less. UH Huh.
The shooting was in 5 points which isn’t a black community. However it was between gang members and two of the people killed were suspects in other murders. Unfortunately innocent people were caught in the crossfire too.

Just adding context to the story

OK I read that it was near UAB, and Uab is downtown, and be careful there after dark.

Has face painted with, "Kill everybody." And this 6 days after 5 were killed in a drive by shooting at 5 points in Birmingham. And less than 2 years after a Turd bb player murdered a young lady on the strip in Tuscaloosa. Roll Tide Roll!

Oh man, this is one of the lamest things I've ever seen posted on VN.

I love his eye paint. I grew up a product of the 90's and we like our athletes to have killer instinct.

His eye paint exists. Violence exists. And metaphors about violence that have absolutely nothing to do with real world violence also exist.

Calling black kids "thugs" because of harmless eye paint is a great way to make potential recruits think racists are starting dumbazz threads on VN. To be clear, I do not think you are racist, but people will think it is racist every time you use "thug" against a young black man, especially when he hasn't done anything wrong.

It was gotten pretty dangerous around here. BPD is heavily understaffed. Approximately short at least 200 cops. We’ve had issues with gun violence but most is concentrated to certain neighborhoods so nothing has really been done. I would expect this to cause change bc it happened in an area where people didn’t expect a mass shooting to occur. We’ll see though. I don’t live downtown anymore so I don’t frequent those areas as much as I did in college

Same in Mobile they say, "Understaffed". That de-fund the Police working out PG huh?

I don’t really care what he does and I’m not offended by it, but I would find it embarrassing if one of our receivers had that written on his face.
lol nah yall have definitions confused embarrassing is what happened to the dbs trying to tackle this young man… I can always tell who played football and who didn’t… this isn’t even remotely close to being a big deal 2024 we try so hard as a people to be offended by any and everything.

Did they change the rules on the eye black text? my only issue is that they are allowed to have violent messages, but not religious chapter and verse numbers? I thought the rule was "no text" for a while, and was fine with that, because it covered everything.

There might be some difference between Nick and DeBoer there. I imagine Nick would've lit up the conference room on all the guys if anyone drew negative attention like putting Vick up as a profile pic. DeBoer probably doesn't have gravitas to do that.

It's from a football movie made in the 90s called The Program.

Stop trying to stir up nonsense.

I chalked it up to dumb emo teenager nonsense. If he was my kid I’d tell him not to write crap like that on his face when he’s going to be on national television, but it’s not anywhere near as deep as you’re trying to make it, OP
That’s what parents and coaches are for…providing a little adult advice. Not a huge deal but just matter of fact, “take it off so people are talking about your game not your makeup”.

You could combine the two ideas and just put Joshua Ch. 6.

Clown response. I literally said I wasn’t offended and although I wasn’t gifted enough to play college football, I was the MVP of my high school team. You seem offended that someone disagrees with you.

Vick is a reformed man and we should celebrate that

And if Vick hadn't got caught? You seem to be the ultimate apologist for questionable ethics .......... And getting few likes on your comments. That message of "Kill Everyone" is a bad bad look. Just because he is a great athlete we should stand and applaud? Nonsense. I BET you won't see a UT player with anything resembling that. So somebody doesn't think it's proper. And frankly, bama is known for the moniker the guy applied, remember the young girl murdered just off campus by bama basketball players? The star player supplied the gun. (and before you start posting a rebuttal,) It was Totally covered over by the Tuscaloosa PD.

The “Kill Everybody” written over his face isn’t that bad but having Michael Vick as your profile picture is a bad look.

Yep, and that makes the eye message look like it is what it is. I cannot believe some of the responses in here. Standards have gone to S#!T. The youth hath zero respect.

If this was a Vol, it would fly. I hate Alabama football as much as anybody on this board, but truth is the truth. I like this, its softer than baby crap.
