Congratulations on landing at a great engineering school and good luck!

Wish him a lot of success in life! On a side note, I think Jeff Collins is Butch 2.0 with all of the stunts he's trying to pull; that place is a house of cards and his program seems like a bunch of smoke and mirrors.

GT is the best engineering school in the south, and one of the best in the country. Smart move by Johnson.

According to collegefactual.com

Duke University

Vanderbilt University
Clemson University
North Carolina State University

I pull for Ga Tech EVERY year when they play Ga but no other time..But IMHO Tennessee Tech is a better Engineering School so TIFWIW.....

If GT wasn't running the triple option Dobbs would've gone there most likely. I hope the academic standards are enough to keep them down.

Why?

I want GT to be good. I want them to beat Georgia every single year. Part of Georgia's dominance is a result of GT basically giving up on recruiting blue chip players under Paul Johnson. It's been bad for us.

Ga tech had ALOT of clout in the nuclear industry. Southern Company pulls heavily from Ga tech.

And by heavy, I mean you graduate from ya tech and you basically have a job waiting for you.

We met him at the vol shop when he was a recruit. Very nice young man. Wish him the best.

My wife and youngest daughter with him.

Did you really just post a link to a site that says GT is the best Mechanical Engineering school in the southeast and use it to claim it isn't?

The original claim was "best engineering school in the south...", some how, the claim morphed into Mechanical Engineering in the SOUTHEAST, why not change it to Locomotive Engineer training center in Alabama?

Perfect landing spot for him. Great engineering school (really wanted to go there myself), close to home and will get good coaching from Brent Key.

Hope he does well for GT.
