Rushing the Field

If we win due to a last minute score the field will be rushed. No security will be able to stop it. If we win by 10+ points or manage to lead the entire game then I don't see it happening.

I am going to show my age her but please do not rush the field. Celebrate in the stands with your friends and family. Allow the two teams to shake hands after the game and then meet down by the Pride and sing Rocky Top and The Tennessee waltz all you like. To me, that shows class and doesn't end up costing the football program $100000 for new goalpost. All just my thoughts. Have a great time and Beat Bama.

When was the last time UT beat a #1 ranked Alabama? Fulmer, Kiffin, Dooley, and Butch haven't been able to beat Saban at Bama. Saban killed the last shot UT had at a national championship in 2001. Kiffin used us as a stepping stone, robbed the university, and got us put on NCAA probation.

If we win then all of us fans deserve to celebrate. The players deserve to be a part of a celebration where the goal posts are torn down. Ask the players from 98 what it was like being on the field when they came down

Welp, I'll allow it due to the '98 reference- goll-lee.

Odds are the Bammers will run straight to the locker room.

This is the biggest, baddest rivalry we have and we have been starved for a win for so long now. If we win, there will be fans on the field. I'm too old to join them, but I won't judge.

When you beat the #1 team in the country and it's your most hated rival....you rush the field. PERIOD.

I got no problem with it.

While I agree it's going to be huge to take down Bama at home, I still say we act like we've been there before. We are a top program we've just been down for a while but we're getting back to where we belong so this should be the norm for us going forward. But hey that's just my opinion. GO VOLS BEAT BAMA

How long has it been since we beat a number 1 ???? Yes we Rush the field in a Win over Saban and Kiffen and Alabama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will just agree to disagree, is rushing the field just gives them the pleasure of knowing they was a accomplishment of ours. I say we just go about buisness as usual and make them know that this is the norm and they should get use to taking loses from Tennessee!!! Don't know if I explained that good enuff or not using the rite words but you get my drift. Yea it's a huge win but we should beat them and it not be a big deal. Just another day at the office.

Ole miss didn't rush the field and they're far inferior team compared to us, just sayin.

I hope we do not rush the field. I would prefer after the victory the team meet at the 50, line up however they choose.... and March in Cadence off the field.... without a peep being made, yes, that is Victory to me, Kick ass and march off the field like we just Took Care of Business.

I'm to old to be rushing the field now. My last was the Bo Jackson Auburn game.

But I say let 'em rush it. My son hasn't got to experience that. Being able to hold a goal post in his hand, chanting "Go to hell, 'Bama, go to hell". I would like to have him get that experience.

And who knows, my wife might talk me into sauntering out on the field after the rush is over.

Remember when UK rushed the field when we lost to them during the Dooley tenure? Do you want your university to look like that . . . on national television? No.

Also, it's bad for player and staff safety. Remember, not everything is about you and what you want. The players/staff win or lose the game; we're simply there to show our support for them, the program, and the university. Fans have no right to rush or be on the field. If you want to be on the field so badly, go try out for the team, or get a job with the staff.

I'm only ok with rushing the field if we win on a last second play. Other than that, we should play it cool and act like it's nit the first time we beat a #1

They managed it vs Florida. And to be honest, NOT rushing the field seemed like more of a slap in the face to the Gators than rushing it.

You all are going to do what you are going to do. But if you are hoping for donations to pay your bail, good luck with that.

I'm normally not a fan of rushing the field but it wouldn't upset me if they did. Our fans are starving for something to celebrate. If I were there, I'd probably run down on the field too

When we win I'm gonna rush the field. I may not get there until next Saturday from Georgia, but I'm gonna do it! I am coming up for the Kentucky game, I could do it before that one starts!
