I am hearing from a few sources that officers will not be arresting or attempting to stop anyone from rushing the field after the game. However, remember if you do rush and get hurt, UT is not liable lol

I hope you're right. It looked like the gustapo out there and the students wouldn't budge after the UF game. That goalpost is going to be home to carp on the TN river after tomorrow. WOOOOOOO

So let's see. WHEN we win tomorrow we will have beaten UF GA and AB in the same season and we will have a virtual lock on the East champ and playing in Atl on Dec 3.

I would hope the security and officers are under orders to assist people down onto the field. I hope they will take selfies with people. And I hope they will have hacksaws handy to assist with dismantling the goal posts.

While I agree it's going to be huge to take down Bama at home, I still say we act like we've been there before. We are a top program we've just been down for a while but we're getting back to where we belong so this should be the norm for us going forward. But hey that's just my opinion. GO VOLS BEAT BAMA

I'm normally not a fan of rushing the field but it wouldn't upset me if they did. Our fans are starving for something to celebrate. If I were there, I'd probably run down on the field too

I agree with not rushing the field. But I think everyone can agree that the emotional aspect of college football is what brings every fan back every Saturday. GBO!

The only time I want to see us rush the field this year is when we beat Ohio St in Tampa. That would be most satisfying.

I'm all for it as long as every one takes a piece of the field with them maybe we will be forced to put in artificial turf in

I don't mind it, but would probably prefer to act like we've been there before. Huge win, statement win for Butch and staff, and pretty much confirms we're back. So I'm 50/50 I guess lol.

We have the old type of goal posts that can't be lowered. They were installed in 98 after the UF game. Heard a rumor that we already have the new kind in storage but aren't going to replace them until the old ones are torn down. Tomorrow could be the end of an era

When was the last time UT beat a #1 ranked Alabama? Fulmer, Kiffin, Dooley, and Butch haven't been able to beat Saban at Bama. Saban killed the last shot UT had at a national championship in 2001. Kiffin used us as a stepping stone, robbed the university, and got us put on NCAA probation.

If we win then all of us fans deserve to celebrate. The players deserve to be a part of a celebration where the goal posts are torn down. Ask the players from 98 what it was like being on the field when they came down

Never, never rush the field. It looks so desperate.

Oh yeah, and the color tomorrow is ORANGE; none of this ring around the collar gray crap.

I'm not saying we shouldn't. I'm just saying there's an argument for it either way. We're Tennessee. We've been here before we've won national championships. We've had long win streaks against Bama. But a 9 year drought and the fact it's against saban absolutely deserves some special celebration.

A win against the #1 team and its Bama breaking a 9 game streak?!?! Rush the f*** outta that field.

Agree. My goodness, it's the number 1 team in the nation who is our biggest rival. I'll be pissed if there's a goal post left standing if we win.

I was a little disappointed we didn't rush for Florida, but looking back it was probably a good thing. This week is different. I'm sitting row 3 and if you hear of a lone person getting arrested after we win it was me. No way we stay off for this win.
