Didn't see a thread for this:
In Heupel's 18 games, the Vols have rushed for 200+ yards in 12 of them.
I get that Hooker is a big reason for the rushing totals, but this not only reminds us that Heupel is a very balanced guy but that he has turned around a dumpster fire so quickly.

I expect some difference in the next few games. Remember we played some weak teams to start the year and now we play the meat of our schedule.

Hooker has been relied on a lot to run but we will have to be more careful with him against these really good teams.

It's all made much easier when you have a good/very good QB who is not only a dual threat but one who makes good decisions. And the fact that we've got some talented receivers also helps--a lot. We've got a very good passing game--and it's why I give us a chance on Saturday if we can block and slow down their rushing game. We have talent at the skill positions--which feeds Huepel's offensive scheme quite nicely. Without talent, no coach is going to succeed.

They still need to keep it in their back pocket. Protecting the QB is important but limiting his running could be far worse.

Hooker goes the offense goes.

The run game has looked better each game iyam. Against Florida it was Hooker, against LSU it was Small. Maybe we get a breakout game from Wright?

As long as we get 150-200 yards, it will open up the passing game. So Heupfully the OL is ready and can get a decent push up front

Well and you saw that against LSU in the second half. They were so obsessed with Hooker and the receivers that Small was able to go off for some big runs. It’s a very potent offense. It’s pretty insane when you look at what Heupel has done.

It really was a dumpster fire. What a great turnaround. It makes you consider, if it's going to happen, it has to happen pretty quick or you just linger in purgatory.

I don’t disagree but LSU was suppose to be a test to the defense as well
