I know its been brought up that Dylan Sampson is on pace to easily break the single season TD record and probably career also this year. But I just pulled out my calculator and the single-season rushing record is 1464 Travis Stephens. We have at least 6 games left. So I did some scenarios.
Dylan is currently at 838 meaning he needs 627 to break it
6 games (regular season + bowl)- 105 a game get him there with a few yards extra
7 SEC champ game plus single bowl game 90 a game gets him there
8 SEC champ and 2 playoff games 79yards
9 finals of playoffs. plus SEC champ 70
Basically if Dylan can average a bit over 100 yards and a TD a game he could put up the single best rushing season and also end up top 10 in career yards.. ending with exactly enough to break the record would put him 9th all-time career.
