Hearsay in a deposition is a tough sell for slander. Doubly so if you're a public figure.

Right. It’s 2nd hand hearsay from one guy to another allegedly. It’s a ‘potential’ mess... It could get complicated too one day “if” one of the victims alleges one day that Schiano witnessed something. Then you pull the other coach into trial for what Schiano allegedly said and looked like that day...I don’t won’t to go down a rabbit hole of speculations and scenarios, but it’s not a good situation for anyone. I was personally not in the courtroom and have not reviewed all the evidence. But Schiano at UT was a no win situation regardless. Sad all the way around.

You can't say that. One guy alleged that another guy told him that. However the said guy that told him denies that he said that. Making careless accusations like this is crazy.

The guy who alleged this happened (McQueary) is the same guy who testified for the DA that he saw Sandusky commiting an assault in a kid. If his word is good enough to put Sandusky in jail then I think it should be good enough to question the Schiano hire! Do you think that Sandusky didn’t say that he didn’t see him do anything? With your logic if the guy denies it is enough to mean it didn’t happen? There is a difference in charging someone with a crime and questioning their character. There was enough smoke with Schiano to be worried about a fire. Just saying...

He hasn’t worked period. Separated from his wife and living with his parents. Got $7 million from the school tho.
