Oklahoma is probably going to be highly ranked. If we beat them it will really help. Arkansas and Mississippi State would be considered solid wins. Too early to say where we would be ranked with 2 loses, it’s still early in the season and teams will get better and some will fall off. Maybe we win them all. There will likely be upsets to teams along the way. We just got to play one game at a time. In the SEC there are virtually no gimmies for any team. GBO

@MSU is a huge one. Next real game post-UGA - do have a hangover or do we leverage that great performance going forward? Does Josh get the road game monkey further off his back? Do we get some of the injured DL back? Can Joey and the offense handle a road atmosphere?

Win that one and you're 4-1 going into the bye week. Chance to further mend injured players and accelerate the development of the young guys who will be needed for the next 7+ games (e.g., Utley/Dye/Campbell/Harmon/Perlotte/Redmond/Poteat/Walton/Smith/JVD/Brame/Morris).

Host Arkansas in a home revenge game. Should be well-rested, prepped, and motivated.

Get that one and you're 5-1 going into a 3-game stretch of @bama, @UK, and OU...

OU, Bama, and @ Florida will be the hardest games TN has left. OU will be favored by the time they come to Knoxville, Especially after they dominate Auburn this weekend. Wouldnt surprise me to see Gameday back in Knoxville when they come to town.

Yes and they are definitely on the downside of the Stoops era, if not the end. No excuse to lose there. I am not worried about that one, but I know that someone is going to sneak up and bite us on the àss, it’s a given.

So Ms State D may be prepared for our offense. Plus it is Joey’s first game in a hostile environment, and it will be loud.

Our best bet is to score early and often and get stops - keep the lead like LSU in 2022. I don’t like our chances if it is a one score game late in the game.

Miss state is not scary from an ath stand point and we have completely retooled our offense… they won’t be able to stop us much at all but I’m confident we get it done in that one… I wasn’t overly impressed with them vs asu but they are definitely a formidable opponent… I think this team is built to be able to run the table.. but one week at a time I’ll enjoy this season because I believe it we’ll be a special one for us..

That said, if Tennessee wants to be in the playoffs, then they have to win every game from here on out. 10-2 guarantees nothing. Just puts you in the mix to be picked.

It starts with Mississippi State in two weeks, who'll almost certainly be 4-0, undefeated, playing at home, and looking to make a statement against the Vols in Starkville. Heupel's strugglebus games have always come on the road. I wouldn't for one second be looking past that game in Starkville. Not for one second.

Imo any team regardless of who it is in the sec with only two sec losses should be in the playoffs
