Funny you keep mentioning feeling sorry for Chipper, who regularly took hometown discounts and never even came close to free agency, like he was locked in some prison. While Pujols, on the other hand, sprinted away at the first available opportunity.

Your're right. I'm sure no one wanted Pujols in previous years of contract talks between Pujols and the Cardss.....

So tell me trash chunker, how many times was Chipper offered 250 plus million to go to another team? He'd have bolted on y'alls sorry ass fan base in a heart beat for that kinda coin.

Nope, instead Chipper wanted to stay in Atlanta and signed a contract a year before his contract ended. Chipper never went into free agency because he wanted to stay in Atlanta.

By the way, I was seven when Chipper signed his contract in 1999. Kind of sad I know what happened and you don't.
