The number was irrelevant. Could see this coming over the last month of the season. Was a matter of time.
Why do teams celebrate like that after the DS?
Anyway, that had to be the best round of playoffs ever.
Ok then we will dig up all the s*** you talked about Cubs fans in Cub thread.
Why not? The ****ing Braves celebrated like they won the World Series after clinching game 163. Fredi was crying. And **** the Cardinals. I have not watched a second of MLB's take on the WWE. So I hear that they won in dramatic fashion? Shocking.
If Desmond keeps that ball on the infield, they probably win the game. In which case they would have beaten the defending champs and made it to the NLCS. Were they doomed because of youth and inexperience because of one play?
It was while we were playing them. And if they beat us I didn't whine like a bunch of little girls like you Braves fans have. Also, they're our major rival. You have nothing but hurt feelings like a preteen little girl.

Desmond had no shot at keeping that in the infield. That was a rope. If they would have had a better plan for managing Strasburg's innings, it maybe wouldn't have come down to that one play. But Rizzo shut him down, they started playing tighter, their bullpen started to tire, and....scene.
The DS is round one in the eyes of any sane person. Game 163 is just a money grab play-in.
*insert obligatory insult for no reason at all*
Butt hurt Braves fans are just that. Logic out the window. Hell even GAVol is involved and he's usually level headed. Celebrating getting a wild card = fine. Celebrating winning a historic DS game 5 = not cool. That's the mindset of butt hurt Braves fan.

Everything seems inevitable after you watch it happen, doesn't it? The fact is that if they play that 9th inning ten times, the Nats win eight or nine times. But they only played it once, and they didn't, so now you say it was inevitable all along. That's silly.
I don't care who wins it, popping champaign after winning round one in the playoffs is weird. NBA, NFL, NHL, Yankees, A's, Mariners, whoever, wherever.
Says the guy with "Sweet Sixteen" by his name... Regardless, this series win does a lot legitimize this Cardinals team as far as belonging in the playoffs. Once again they punked the Braves for a playoff spot and they are likely doing more than a Frediot team ever could with it. Sadly, since I am a Braves fan.
