Yo Eric…. Do we typically add names to the current class HS list after the season starts? Don’t fully understand the dynamics involved for adding late breaking real talent this late in the process.

HOPE WE GO 2 for 2 on current version.

Probably not many more new names this cycle.

We are trying to flip some guys and I could add them but harder to track those. Some of these are very close to being flips so this would be the list to keep in mind.

Jaedon Harmon - 4* LB - Bama commit
Duane Morris - 3* RB - USC commit
Andrew Maddox - 4* DL - OMiss commit
Isaiah Gibson - 5* DL - UGA Commit

If we flipped that entire list we would finish with a 290 team score per 247. That would just be silly

If OK commits as expected today, that will put us at 24 in this class.

So, looking at the dreaded number crunch..... If we go to a 105 scholarship limit next season, we're all good, but if we remain at the 85 limit, the most scholarship players we can have next season is 83. We currently sit at 81 scholarship players for this season. We have 15 players in their final year of eligibility according to LWS' charts. So that's 17 open spots. You figure Pearce and Sampson will forgo their senior seasons and go pro, so if that happens, we'll be at 19 open spots. That means we'll need at least 5 more spots to open, either by current players deciding to go pro or transfer. And for every player we add to this class, that number increases by one. And that's without us getting any portal players.

A scholarship increase to 105, meaning we could carry 103, would be very nice.

Either way, I'm sure we'll see some transfers after the season with guys not seeing playing time wanting to go somewhere they can play.

As far as the current class goes, I know we'd like to add another RB, and if possible, a DL or two. But after OK commits (fingers crossed), I think we're done at every other position.

As for the transfer portal, I've been speculating we would look there to boost our DL for next season, but now I'm not so sure.

Just waiting for Morris or Maddox or anyone else to visit.

I’d expect any final spots to be filled pretty close to signing day.

That is just a guess but I’d think it will fire up 4 weeks or so before ESD.

Any chance we get involved with Javion Hilson Edge 25" who just de-committed from FSU, maybe we can get involved if we recruited him previously

I have noticed since living here in TX that I have never seen such interest in High School football. Anyway, I was on ON3 this morning and they had a ranking of high school football in the country. Six out of the top ten are in TX. 🤪 A recruiter's dream.

When is recruiting going to pick up? I haven't been paying much attention to recruiting, but I looked at the rankings today. I had no idea there were schools that had almost full classes already. Are we going to start seeing more commits soon? 247 has us at 27th currently, with 7 commits.
