Why does Beckwith get more time in backfield or at TE. He is a big kid either at TE or I formation as a lead blocker.

Hes a broken record to a fault. So predictable in press conferences. Then gets upset when its a tough question he wasnt expecting.

Gonna get crowded back there next year. Whitehead is also a big fast kid coming off injury, and adding Evans and Brown. Then Gray and Small and Wright in the other class of RB. I am hoping that the karma of a kid from Athens wanting to be a RB will make him a star at UT. Just hope we are healthy and we get to have spring ball and a normal start next fall to get enough reps for everyone. Has the POTENTIAL to be the deepest room in a long time. Beckwith should be all over the field.

Pruitts is an idiot, even I can see the kid should be in the TE position. Kid has the size and is athletic enough to be the next Kyle Pitts. His future is not at running back.

It's kind of hard to get him playing time when the offense has a hard time putting drives together. We averaged around 17 points a game so that should tell you opportunities are few and far between.

its not always about running the ball. You have to know who to block also. Plus that part about gray being good. just Looking at him and deciding he should play isnt anything more than a guess. Although I would have liked to see him more also😀

He'll end up like Kamara and be a SUPER STAR in the NFL, while doing ZIPPY here. Beldar has NO clue how to put players in position to succeed. Butch Jones 2.0

Some know how to "talk football"
An alternate view is beyond their grasp.
Clichés are the backbone of arm chair coaches' rhetoric.
Where would VolNation be without them?
You are spot on my friend. Cliches greatly effect my opinion of some posters whether I agree with them or not. I have done public speaking in the past and I quickly learned NOT to let my journalist wife proofread the speech. If anything I said even approached a cliche...well...the humiliation would be great😂😂😂.

They are trying g to use him like the Patriots and Bears used Cordarone Patterson. Totally out of position to me. Should be at tight end.

After reading through this thread, it just occurred to me why so many of you loathe Pruitt. You watch his show and listen to his interviews..... I get it now.... it runs much deeper than just thinking he sucks as a coach ..... he’s skoal can Beldar

What is a TE actually these days?
Is it the guy lining up on the outside shoulder of the Offensive tackle in a 3 point stance.

If so you want 6'5 230 lbs guy that runs 4.4 to..block? Ha..

The kid is a freak that needs the ball in his hands 10-15 times a game. Can't do that playing TE in Chaney's offense...

I disagree. I believe he can be effective at both. Similar size to D.Henry and fast.
