Running back recruiting for this year

He never eally considered us. Dooley never seemed to give the kid a look. Plus he has long been an OSU lean.

I'm beginning to wonder exactly WHO Dooley DID look at! It's a wonder he did as good as he did recruiting! Seems like if they were a good catch, Dooley ignored them!

He should have been looking at himself in the mirror if you know what I mean.

QUOTE=AVolforLifenmeZac;8214253]Jalen Hurd is from TN and will probably be a top 25 player this next year. We are also in on some other big backs such as Nick Chubb that I can think of off the top of my head[/QUOTE]

:birgits_giggle: full on chubby.

Maybe we are sitting well with the Michael Dyer situation. That would make alot of sense with it looking like we are sitting back a bit. If we miss on RB this year like we did on OL last year, I think it's going to hurt.

A good RB can come in and make a splash right off the bat, but it takes a couple of yrs. to build a OL'man.

It was brought up back around the 1st of January that CBJ had ties to Dyer and they had spoke about his situation(per several articles). Dyer then started following CBJ on twitter and it went from there. Dyer has made it known he would like to get back to major college football.

Furthermore, Coach Thigpen was at Auburn when Dyer was a freshman, so there is another preexisting connection to Tennessee's current coaching staff. That could enhance Dyer's comfort zone in terms of possibly coming to Tennessee.

I don't know about this year, it's pretty depressing. Next year it's Hurd or bust IMO. Dude will be a 5-star and in our backyard. MUST GET

Hurd would be a great pickup. I see him all the time and I've talked to the kid on numerous occassions. Seems to be a good guy.

as far as Dyer is concerned, he will most likely be a 1 and done if he comes back, as long as he can stay healthy. He is built like a tree stump and has NFL RB speed.

I say bring him on!

I think chasing Green hurt us with kids like Turman and the kid that just decommitted from ND.

I think at one point we could have won these battles. Do you think Turman sees the field if Kamara choses UGA?
