I just figured it would help make sense on the talk of taking 4 in this class. Being JuCo..they would be around less time in which would look better to future RBs considering us.

I truely don't understand taking 4 ESP with a soph and 2 FR but they know what they are doing. They may Just really like this class of RBs.

You also have to think that some of the RBs could become LBs or FB. I think the coaches really want to land Beniquez Brown and he could be either. Cross may end up a LB or a FB.

Here's the problem with that: If you were going to convert 2 of the 4 RB's you sign, wouldn't you just yell your future recruit that you're only signing 2 RB's this year? That sounds a lot better to the recruit than saying we're signing 4 RB's this year.

The main reason I think they would is if it's true they intend to take (4) in this class...having 1 or 2 JuCo who would not have 4 years would make it a little better for future recruiting even if we only take Green next year.

The staff disagrees wholeheartedly with you. They LOVE Cross as a RB.

He is above both Robinson and Mathers on their board.

Right now, I would not be surprised if we only took 2 RBs this year. Lane is balling out, they love Cross, we have a limited number of scholly's with other glaring needs, and we will have like 7 RBs on the roster next year and NONE of them will even be seniors.

If we could get Norfleet as a change of pace guy, we may call it quits. They really, really like Norfleet.

And if they take 2 backs in this class and try to take more than Green next year. If Green decides to go elsewhere...don't bad mouth the kid for not accepting the fact that all coaches are allowed to lie to them. "Its recruiting". :eek:lol:

Devrin is never mentioned in threads discussing running backs, so I am where he will be used in practice. Will it be only in the slot and special teams.

We arent taking Kimbrow even if he was available. i think we go with Cross(if he sticks), Norfleet(if he will committ) and one more. Possible a Juco guy, hopefully RJ Robinson. I know the coachs told that recruit were taking 4 but i just have a hard time believing we take more than 3. Now we do need 4 Wr's in this class in a bad way.

I know were not getting kimbrow. I just bumped another post to ask the question as to where Devrin Young will take reps at during practice since no one ever mentions him in the running back rotations. I didn't want Kimbrow in the first place, because we already have two small speed backs in Neal and Young. Two speed backs in two years is enough. I want to see more all purpose backs like Lane, Smith, and Cross.
