Rumors I live in Tallahassee and there has been no rumors of Jimbo Fisher wanting to be the next head coach at Tennessee. The talk around Tallahassee is the majority are unhappy right now with how there season has played out so far. They could careless about losing to Alabama. When Deondre Francois went down it looked like the spirit was taken from every FSU fan.
no, it's not. but the general attitude of some regarding the prospect is just ridiculous....Not wanting Fisher is far from a reason to call this fanbase embarrassing.
Yeah, I can't see any reason why Jimbo would want to leave FSU for Tennessee. Go from a great program that can pay well to a train wreck.
Fisher would get us to a natty in 3 years.

we go from "must have proven winner" to "he's overrated, don't want". yet we see some of the names being thrown around here lately, and yeah, it makes me wonder......
personally, i don't think he'd be great here either, but could he win the East? recruit? bring a style of football that fits more with what we expect?
I just wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the notion of a NC winning coach showing some interest......i'd be more interested in him that Chip Kelly or John Gruden, i can say that.
when you start eliminating guys that have actually won something in the last 5 years, as a program that can't sniff it's own division in a terrible SEC East, i don't know that we should turn our noses up.....cause you and i both know what we're likely to end up with in the end.
that is if there was anything actually to this rumor, which there's not, so it's a moot point anyway.
No way I'd put that guy over Gruden.
He is a used car salesman like Butch.
Again, how many times has he walked on the field this year with the less talented team?

Totally nonsensical post. Jimbo Fisher, 80-21 at one of the best, strongest P5 programs in the country, with a national championship title is just like Butch freaking Jones? What??
Also, Jon Gruden has never been a college head football coach, hes never run a program, never had to recruit, etc, etc. How in the world are you not putting one of 4 active coaches in all of college football with a national title on his resume, who has been wildly successful at FSU ahead of him? Help me understand that one.
He is a used car salesman like Butch, did not compare their records.
There are 25 guys that could produce that record at FSU. He is nothing special. Losing a qb is no excuse for the losses this year other than Bama. And oh yea, bama was cleaning his clock before the QB was hurt.
Ranking this clown over Gruden is idiocy.

Why though? Just saying it doesn't make it so. You have made no case for Gruden as a college coach. And if Jimbo is so average, why was LSU ready to make him the crowned Prince of Baton Rouge last year to the tune of $6.8 mil/yr?
Very few college coaches luck into a National title like you seem to believe JF did. Gene Chizek and Larry Coker are a couple that come to mind in recent history because they stepped in and won with predominantly the previous coach's talent and then fell off. That hasn't been the case for Fisher.
