Rumors about today......

Manning was the better QB. No one can argue that.

But Florida had Peyton's number. Nothing "false" about it.

Tee and his legs did make a difference that one year he beat them. And his pass to Peerless. No costly turnovers. But UTs defense was very stingy that night! Downright nasty defense.
Tee was 5-13 for 91 yards 0TD 1 INT

9 rushes for 9 yards. 0 TD, longest rush was 9 yards.

I loved Tee and still do. He was a huge part of the championship season, but we won the UF game despite his performance, not because of his performance.

If this dont work out and Pruitt is still the coach for next week we need to do what Vandy did in a way. We can go get one of the softball girl pitchers who have a strong arm and bring her onto the team to play QB.
And you see where that got Mason.... he was fired for the girl kicker being called a publicity stunt... guess that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Throw the ball and try to light up the scoreboard with HB. No more conservative, handoff only offense.

The "Tee beat Florida when Peyton couldn't" narrative is one of the most overblown false narratives in UT history.

False narrative? UT beat FL with Tee starting at QB. UT never beat FL with Peyton starting against FL. I ain’t saying Tee was a better QB than Peyton, but he did beat FL.

No, Spurrier had Fulmer’s number.

Overblown? Probably . False? negative.
GBO!!
I've watched a few Lady Vols softball pitchers throw. Wicked. Scary. Fast.
Monica Abbot, warming up pregame, was one of the craziest things I’ve ever witnessed.
GBO!!

Tennessee beat Florida. Tee handed the ball off very well.

Ball control is gonna be huge. We can’t run on first and second and then throw only on 3rd down. Really want to see Bailey shine today
If we can't run on 1st and 2nd down, we get creamed. Our OL is our only hope of competing with UF. If they are as effective as they were against AU, we have a chance, albeit small.

The part where people pretend that Manning was bad against Florida and that was why we lost. He averaged close to 400 yards/game in his 3 games against them.

Well I am a 100% Peyton Manning fan! But the statement is just a fact, not an opinion. I personal have the opinion as you do that Manning played well, but still did not win.

I feel like we need the gameplan we ran in Kiffin’s year vs Florida. Run heavy and take a few shots in pass game. Just shorten the game with the run

Yep. Truth be told, Tennessee's defense was better that year. That, and the crowd noise that night in Neyland was deafening.

As I remember, though, it seemed we went silent just as the snap happened. And that thing went wide left. There was this couple sitting behind us. The husband was a Florida alumni, and his wife was a Tennessee graduate. I saw it go wide, but could not believe it. I looked back at her and asked, "Did that go wide?" Just as she said yes, the place erupted. We hugged each other laughing as her husband looked like he had just been hit in the gut. And when we looked back at the field, both goalpost uprights were coming down. Good times.

I was wrong about Gray, never thought he was big enough to be a featured guy but he's big enough! Still think we need a bruising FB ala Shawn Bryson playing alongside him.
