That is Penn State's 5 year record going into the postponement. Alabama requested the change to happen in 2003 to move it from 2004-2005 to 2010-2011.

Combined 5 year record going into the series to be postponed: 28-31. I don't really see a trend other than UNC looks to be more on the upswing than Penn State did when Bama requested it to be moved back.

The fact that Penn State complied and UNC isn't and is forcing UT to pay them money is what is giving this far more of a tainted image.

We don't know whether Bama would have wimped out of the game if Penn State didn't comply. We only know that about UT.

UNC is no Penn State in football. Penn State did not need to beat Bama to demonstrate their worth to the sport. UNC does need to do that to UT. So, it's logical that they'd want to play the game.

Spin it however you like. UT paid good money to avoid playing UNC.

the only peaple making a big deal about this are UT fans,and unc fans.UT tried to reschedule.unc did'nt want to.don't see how this makes UT look like they're dodging the game.if unc wants to play UT so bad,they should reschedule.

It's disrespectful to the men who served and died to earn the state its nickname.

Texas would still be part of Mexico if Mike Hamilton traded places in history with Davy Crockett. The question is really whether or not he'd given them Louisiana and Mississippi.

Yeah i heard that too. Seems like Dooley backed off of the rumor his input was used in making this decision. Seems it was Hammy's deal, all of it.

CDD said he had more things to worry about than the schedule. That was Hamiltons job and his job was to win the games

He should just load this whole thing on Hamilton.

He can't back down to Butch Davis. If he can get the game to stay on the schedule, it could be a nice win for him. We're not going to win the Bama or UF games next year and beating UNC would be a nice consolation price in 2011 and 2012.

Show that we can beat them while we're down and he'll make nice inroads into the state. We're not talking about beating some powerhouse.

I'll be glad when the season starts so everybody will quit whining about the Carolina game. A couple of games in and this will be forgotten. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill. This happens all the time. Bama and Auburn have both done it. People need to find something worthwhile to discuss instead of this. Geez people........
