Saban is not leaving Tuscaloosa until he retires unfortunately, I expect Lane Kiffin to have a head coaching position next year though.

Saban would absolutely hate L.A. and the media circus, schmoozing with hundreds of wealthy alums.

I don't think you have to worry about Lane, he'll be gone as soon as he can get out. Word is he, and Tosh, HATE it down there. Lane's wife is back in SoCal.

Robert M. Widney convinced benefactors and fellow founders Ozro Childs, John Gately Downey and Isaias W. Hellman to help establish the*University of Southern California*(USC), which first opened in 1880. Far more recently, in 1997, the Los Angeles-based university’s school of business was renamed in honor of former student and businessman Gordon S. Marshall, who had made a $35 million donation. Then in 1999 the university’s school of medicine was rechristened in honor of the W.M. Keck Foundation’s record-breaking $110 million contribution. USC’s school of engineering was rechristened in 2004 after philanthropist Andrew Viterbi and his wife Erna bestowed a sizable $52 million. And in 2011 the university’s school of public policy was renamed after the Price Family Charitable Fund donated $50 million. In 2013 USC’s endowment was valued at $3.868 billion.

What's equally impressive is Vanderbilt is right behind them. And the Texas school SYSTEM does have more money but it's multiple university's where as USC is one institution.

No way. USC is not the job it use to be. He's built a 5 star team at Bama.

I'll leave you to try and piece together how donations to a school's academic endeavors translates to athletics. In so doing, please explain how Vanderbilt can continue to suck at football under those conditions.

Uh...it's Vanderbilt. You are dumb so I'll remind you there is enough talent in SoCal than most of the country. So USC has that.

USC has a lot more working against it than Bama does. Doesn't mean they aren't a great program with many advantages, but they won't just roll out the Brink's truck and take a huge name unless it's someone like Chip Kelly if he is jobless at year end.

The cost of living in SoCal is also much greater than most of the country. There are at least 5 jobs in the SEC alone that have access to just as much talent as USC without the drag of paying for life in LA.
