What's the chance that Dooley allows Ambles to transfer to UT?

there were a lot more that weren't choir boys but the media had more interesting stories to write when we were winning

So DD needs a "license" to take a chance on a character risk?

For all of Dooley's talk on character building, you would think he wouldn't be scared of a challenge.

Lott's here to make kids realize they have a chance to succeed. Ambles desperately needs some guidance.

No, he doesn't need one or want one. That's why he didn't create a program to serve as one. Keep up there, justingroves.

CDD made the decision that this guy is more risk to the program than he's worth - get over it.

The reason Andre Lott was brought in was to help kids like Ambles.

Only if he wants the help. Dooley has said he would take a few risks on kids with some problems in their history under certain circumstances. I don't think he would shut the door on a sincere offer, but would need to have a strong committment to buying into the program and positive change. Can't just turn him over to Andre Lott to fix if the kid doesn't see there is a problem nor want to commit to fixing it.:victory:

Surely you aren't suggesting some of the holy rollers cheered for "thugs" are you?

they had no clue who they were cheering for

but that's not to say there weren't some outstanding people on those teams. There were but there were also some bad seeds

You said he didn't have a "license" for taking risks. I was just trying to clarify what you meant by that.

So Andre Lott does what, exactly?

He's here to help the immature guys realize what they have going for them. If you think otherwise, you're extremely naive. Ambles would be a great success story and actually make the VFL program a legitimate recruiting tool to pitch to mommas in their living rooms.

Wasn't he just released by USC? Another team that is short on roster spots.

I would have no problem with Dooley's decision either way. Don't think Dooley giving him the Heisman is worth complaining over.

And you swallowed that statement hook, line, & sinker. Isn't it a possibility that CDD just doesn't want to get into trouble with the NCAA at this point?

This is not over by a long shot, IMO. It will be interesting to see where Ambles winds up eventually.

From what I have read & heard, this kid is trouble. A "me first" kind of guy. He seems likely to be a cancer in the locker room.

There are other kids with as much talent, minus the attitude. I'd rather add some character guys at WR and roll with Hunter & Rogers. I hope CDD passes on this one.

I think you may be correct here, from what we have heard Ambles tried to make some type contact with UT but they would not speak with him. Does not mean he is NOT coming here IMO. It means Dooley and Company know how to play the game. I do not think Dooley is pursuing Ambles, but it does not mean he is not pursuing UT

He will be a cancer to any locker room and that's why Dooley isn't interested in him at all.

I feel like this is the elephant in the room when it comes to our secondary. I have also noticed it. It seems like he is constantly getting beat by a step or two.

I do think teague was a better receiver but I don't understand why some ppl keep talkin about him getting beat. I've watched every game this year and Gordon and Evans has been beat more than teague. And teague wraps up better then anybody in the secondary. Wait for him to be in the secondary for a full year. He is very smart and a motivated kid. He will be really good next year.

I bet some of you hated cheering for UT teams in the 90's

Terrible comparison.

Jamal Lewis was heading up a multi-state drug distribution operation AND making his grades AND coming to practice on time.

Travis Henry was devoting hours and hours per day to inseminating women. Did you hear about him skipping classes? Or rolling into practice 30 minutes late? No, no you didn't.

Terrible comparison.
