what are ur thoughts on this?

If it does happen, and it gives exclusivity to the 360 for previous multiplatform EA titles, all I can say to PS3 users is.....SUCK IT!!! J/k I dont think it will happen and even if it does, Microsoft might take the multiplatform approach and offer those games to PS3 and Wii users but this is very interesting on how this will play out.

no way they lock out PS3. that is hundreds of millions of dollars that they would be losing. if that did happen, i would be disappoint to say the least. i guess you never know tho.

yes, but with titles like Madden and the deal with the NFL would possibly cause a lot of PS3 users to switch to the the 360. If the deals goes through and microsoft made most of the EA titles first party, it would be a checkmate as far as the console wars are concerned.

Basically. Which would be a shame, since the console wars are the only reason that prices go down on these damn things. This is bad any way you spin it.

ya i don't want to buy a console that has died on 90% of its users

Seriously. Everyone says xbox live is so much better, well it looks nicer but ps3 is free and from what I've played of both they're about equal on the game play. How someone is satisfied with having to buy 2 of the same console and that considered normal is beyond me.

Nintendo would still be able to compete, if this happened. Sony, however, would slowly get pushed out.

Nothing would happen overnight though.

I'd be worried about the industry if this happened. Competition, in any industry, is a good thing.

EA has grown into some kind of monster.

Cool - but why would you need to buy a new one? And what people that bought one within the past year or two have had issues?

Ok so you're really going to argue this with me. Um well let's see why don't you take a look at that thread and tell me all the times that someone mentions buying a 'backup', which is a ridiculous thought if you think about it. You buy a TV, should you buy a backup just in case the original goes out? Or in buying a TV, would you pick the one that has known electrical flaws and has a pretty good probability of going out? Hell no! Microsoft has brainwashed yall. It's a tragedy, really. Shouldn't you be demanding a better product before you buy it?

Really impatient if they buy a backup - I haven't read that.

BUT, I have read people will go to walmart and buy an arcade system and use it for a few weeks until they get theirs back and then return for a full refund.

And like I said - I don't know of many or any for that matter - bought in the past 1.5ish years that have gotten a rrod. Mine is one of those purchased in that time frame.

Why is it that people who prefer the ps3 feel the need to talk no stop crap about the 360 and those who prefer it? Honestly now, is it an inferiority complex, or some unbalanced form of buyers remorse?

I have both, and other than blueray movies it hasn't been used for 3 or 4 months, and only then because i was bored and played the show for a bit.
