Rumor: Jones vs DeBord

Heard from a guy who is very close to a recognizable donor- take it or leave it.

I've been on this board and boards like it for more than 10 years. LWSVol has demonstrated repeatedly that he has close connections to the program. In August, he said that the experiment with Coleman Thomas at C had failed. He predicted a starting lineup of Kerbyson, Robertson, Crowder, Jones, and Thomas. This is a guy with 10 years of credibility.

Not only was the info he got wrong.... Thomas looked extremely good at C and there didn't appear to be any mistakes in the line calls.

Since the whole North thing... I'm not sure anyone outside of the coaches' meeting room has straight info.... until Jones makes an announcement.

Now, I'll speculate on your OP. I have ZERO doubt that DeBord and Jones butted heads over who was going to start. They probably debated the merits of each guy. I don't read Jones as the type who just wants a rubber stamp. Not sure how they reached their peace... but it looked good Saturday.

All I know is that whoever made the decision to start Coleman Thomas at center made the right decision and it was evident in the game.

Oh Okay, King of Nerds. Just kidding of course. Please don't run over me.

Lyfe, you are so totally dead. Can I have your stuff?

Have you even stepped foot on the field when the checkers are out under the lights during a game while holding the football and scoring a touchdown or 3?
yeah. I have.

Oh, ok, see Malinois, HERE is where you want those little popcorn-eatin' mfs.

I'm not so sure that Debord wanted to start true freshmen on the Oline, doesn't make sense, especially in the SEC, as we Vol fans have witnessed, no?

All jokes aside, I heard this information from a very reliable source. Perhaps last week's result against a power octane BG defense might prove that I am full of ****- but don't come to me crying when Mahoney gets fired after this year and DeBord takes the o-line and the graduate assistant, nick whatever his last name is, takes over quarterbacks.

What does this have to do with your OP? You said there were issues between Jones and DeBord.

Speculation about Mahoney's future isn't new here.
