Rumor: Five in-state to Vandy (split)

Well put. Vandy's on the rise. At this point, I think they have to be considered the favorite to win the SEC in 2012, and probably 2013 and 2014. 2015's a bit too far out to predict, but you have to like their chances there too.

Agree. I could see them taking the BCS Championship by 2013 if not for Cut and Duke. That Blue Devil juggernaut left the station with the last class. It will take Vandy more than a couple of seasons to catch up.

Definitely, definitely... in LaCrosse. :eek:lol:

If this is even remotely true, Vandy must be taking a page out of Auburn's book and forking out the $$$$$$$$$$$.......

Who said that Vanderbilt is going to have a better class than the Vols? I've yet to read this. I have read (and have made a similar statement), that Vanderbilt is doing a much better job than normal and James Franklin is doing a great job in recruiting, especially for Vandy.

The people that have their feelings hurt about Vandy act like an insecure girlfriend who has been scorned. You know, the girl that would make a huge deal about her boyfriend noticing that a previously unattractive girl had cleaned up a bit, but still had a long way to go...

The story goes like this:

The previously unattractive girl (let's say her name is Mandy Vanderbilt) puts on some makeup, loses a few pounds, and fixes her hair up. She still isn't a 10, but has moved from a 2 to a 5. Mind you, this is a huge improvement for this girl (more than doubled her looks on the looks scale!), but she still doesn't compare to the girlfriend (your nickname for her is cUTie). There's no way you'd leave cUTie, but Mandy V is looking better and you're taking notice. I mean, it's great to see people do better, right?

Actually, in this case, cUTie isn't the one pitching the fit, it's her b*&# @$$ friends. cUTie couldn't care less because she's still a 10, even though she's seen better days.

Moral of the story: Stop acting like a bunch of wussies because Vanderbilt is doing better for itself on the recruiting trail. It's still not a 10, but it's getting better and it's ok for other people to notice.

Epic failure? You got to be kidding me. I just don't understand this. CDD accepts a 3* and people go nuts complaining about it. We lose one 3* RB and I'm guess a 2* DE and now its a Epic failure.

I am guessing the "epic failure" mentioned would be the fact that all the in state kids are picking Vandy or someone other than the Vols it seems. I do no think it's a failure at all. All the staff can do is offer..and they have several of the kids. If they choose to go elsewhere, the staff has not failed at all.

Wrong. So far of the kids mentioned for Vandy's Dream Team there is ONE kid UT is hard after, that's it. If the others were offered by UT and committed there would be 100 threads talking about how CDD only recruits 2 and 3star kids. It's also June, lets revisit this in February and see where Kimbrow actually goes, my money is on someone other than the 2-10 team that Vandy fields this fall.

And last year Dooley and Co. got every single kid they wanted in the state of Tennessee. The only epic failure is this nonsense about Vandy out recruiting UT this class. It's hilarious.

If Kimbrow goes on record as a Vandy commit...I do not see CDD still recruiting him. I for one..hope he does not. If the kid does not pick the Vols, I do not care where he goes.

+1 :clapping:

not worrying about Vandy, just stating the obvious. They're doing better than I can ever remember in recruiting and it's doesn't appear that they're done yet. I know they've created a buzz in the Atlanta area. I've lived here for 30+ years and I never remember that happening. ever.....
