[RUMOR] Dormady leaving the team [Update: at practice today]

2 starters that were benched because of either attitude or performance. Alabama has had several 5 stars the past few years transfer, but you don't here about it because they win.
The bottom line is Dormady made the bad throws and threw interceptions. Even with sub par coaching, you know whether a guy is open or not.

Right. You don't try to make a play... you just throw the ball away, right?

I never pull against the Vols and actually like JG. But if he doesn't play A LOT better than he has at any point this season... UT probably won't win a conference game.

Dormandy is a Pro -Style quarterback that's where he needs to be under center learning a pro -style offense...
Good Luck to him... He will get better coaching elsewhere....

Yep...we don't get into the National Championship in 1998 without him beating K-State. He's a VFL.

I hear this all the time so I have to ask, where does this thought come from? Going in to the SECCG Tennessee was #1, UCLA was #2, Kansas State was #3 in the BCS. UCLA lost to Miami that afternoon clinching, assuming UT won, which they did, a spot in the National Championship Game.

I would rather discuss the 98 championship run then anything about the 2017 dumpster fire.

There you have it. Now, I remember hundreds saying JG had a bad attitude during the GT game. Yet here is QD saying he is leaving if he doesn't start.

If one is going to transfer regardless it has to be Dormady. Guarantano will more than likely thrive under a new coaching staff.

Why did Butch even bother recruiting a pro-style QB? Why did QD even come here when he knows the head coach likes to run a spread offense?

Just stupidity all around.

I really believe this only reason Butch stared QD in the first place. He knew if he started JG then QD wuld leave the program

THIS.

If the AD allows this to continue, it wouldn’t matter if we raise Robert Neyland from the dead to be our next coach... the cupboard will be bare and we will suck for a long time

well we have kind of sucked for a long time.....sooo

Dont remember all the particulars but i do remeber hoping both would lose and celebrating when they did.

When you see similar responses from multiple players, you start looking for a different person being the problem. There is one constant denominator, and it is Butch. He just does not know how to manage players. My belief is that he is not honest with them. That will lose a locker room faster than anything.

It wasn't going to be any better the way it was. I like the fact that he knows he's starting instead of coming in for two series after QDs 3rd interception.

So he completely misled the QB's... bungled the whole "competition"... failed to support the guy who won the job... but he gets credit for "trying something different"?

My husband and I went to Puleos' in knoxville after the TN-Georgia game. Our waiter said he had a communications class with JG last semester, JG was telling him that coach said he would be our starting QB this year. Don't know what that means in the grand scheme of things, just repeating what we were told....

Unfortunately... there's not a place that stupid comments go automatically. The rest of us could have benefited from not having read your post.

I have challenged many on non-sense like you just posted. I do not expect you to demonstrate any more honesty or intelligence than I've gotten from them.

PROVE what you are saying. Just cite the game, quarter, and time on the clock that demonstrates that Dormady "throws off his back foot all the time".

To give your question much more credit than it deserves... Memphis would probably be a good place for Dormady to land. Ferguson is out of eligibility after this year. If he can beat out a RS Soph and former 3* recruit then he'll have a shot at displaying his talent. If not... it wasn't meant to be.

If I am not mistaken, QD has or will graduate. He can play next fall without sitting out as a grad transfer.

If this goes through it's likely someone has done some "checking in" to some programs where QD will have an opportunity. It's not likely that this is a hasty decision but rather some planning has gone into it.
