According to some one in the medical field in Nashville, that is connected to Alabama athletics, Young will have to have season ending surgery on his injury.

I hope he plays. Less than 100 is in our favor. But saw he was only throwing the ball underhanded last week in TaM warmups.

Pretty sure they are adjusting it based on the amount of bets that are coming in. If everyone is picking Tennessee to cover, they’ll keep lowering it to mitigate the risk. I don’t think they know anything other than what people are betting on.

You've seen our Secondary play, right? What has shown you that we can stop anyone's passing attack, muchless one with an elite RB with speed to burn and 5* guys all over the field. They don't have that elite WR they are used to having but Gibbs could put 300+ all purpose yards on us. He scares me to death. I highly doubt Young is out for the year. He will play Sat.

We may lose by Fiddy but damn sure won't win by that. Yall's overconfidence is very unwarranted. I hope we win 70-0 but past history and our Defense says we could still get boatraced. With I had some of Yall's confidence but I've seen our God awful secondary play and it hasn't been pretty.

Come on, as someone in healthcare, you are not going to blab and violate HIPAA and jeopardize your license or fined or jail time, I don’t buy it

I mean, saying casually to a friend that you hypothetically might know a doctor at your hospital is planning surgery on a current Alabama quarterback is the type of thing no one would dream attempting a HIPAA claim over.

If this is true he should have had surgery after he got hurt and why would he dress out for Texas A&M.

I don't believe this report in any way to be accurate, but just hypothetically say it is-

Depending on the injury, they could simply be having to wait for the swelling or inflammation to die down a bit before operating.

Perhaps one doctor said surgery needed and another said possibility of rehab for a few weeks.

He doesn't play Saturday and the questions to Saban will get a lot more pointed. I would be shocked if he doesn't play Saturday though. In all honesty, for a bit Saturday I thought Saban was going to put him in the A&M game when things were not going well for Bama.

Saban was cagey about Young's status all last week, yet Bryce never tossed a ball overhand during the A&M warmups. So why would Saban do anything different this week? Make UT prepare for both...of course.

Young, as well as Tillman, are months away from being financially set for life. Unless either coach declares publicly that their player is a definite "go", I'll only believe it when I see it.
