I live in Louisville. Pitino has a top 5 class coming in. I love the Vols, but THE Rick Pitino won't be our coach in Knoxville.

I don't really care but ill tell you this. If you had heard the guy talking u may have had an ounce or to of beliefs aswell. This was said that the intrest came before the interview with hamilton. Supposedly the program is not going to get hit that hard but pearl on the other hand is. If we keep him it hurts us and if we let him go no big penalties. For pearl on the other hand hs could see a two year ban from NCAA sports. Now does Pitino have a good job in louisville yeah. Has he done anything there? No. It makes little since but I could also see him saying he has intrest if the money is right. We do have money and we have the best facilities in the country with a program on the rise.

Louisville just gave him his brand new arena though. Only reason I would see Pitino leaving is the Karen Sypher ordeal drained him and is still big story in Ky and a change of scenery is wanted. I would be utterly stunned if he was interested for any other reason other than leverage at UL.

How about the General---Bobby Knight! He's ready and will take the job for only $2-3 mil.

HAHAHA...Bruce Pearl (lies to NCAA investigators over a barbecue and then comes out with the truth) replaced by the mountain of character, Rick Pitino...yes, this makes sense for the self righteous desires of Vol whiners.

For the record, I wouldn't want Pitino. However, Pitino's trouble was from personal life, Pearl's was NCAA and affected UT. Pitino's personal life hasn't affected UL and AA. Also, Pitino's off court issues aren't real different from Pearl's so your post is absolutely hypocritical. Pearl has had similiar issues for his whole tenure at UT. People want him out not because he made one mistake, but because his mistake would cost UT. How in the world do people not get this?

How 'bout Johnny Majors....."Orange shirts, orange shirts...swarm the ball." We would have one helluva defense.

You know when Pitino took over at Kentucky they were on probation from Eddie Sutton stuff. He built them back up and won a National Championship, then left for Boston and Tubby took Pitino kids and won another championship. I would take that.

I believe there is weight to this rumor. I heard that Pitino owns land next to Gruden in East Tennessee.

Maybe now is good time to remind some of you this is an internet message board. It isn't a news site. Posts on message boards and forums generally include facts, opinions, rumors, etc.

If all you expect is validated facts in regard to UT sports, good luck with that. You can't even depend on actual news affiliates to have the complete story anymore. About anything.

BTW....my dad told me day before yesterday he had heard Pitino's name mentioned. Glad he doesn't post here. I'd have to come after somebody if you jumped him for sharing something he heard the way you jumped the OP.
