We must have the absolute best set of coaches in the nation. Everybody comes after them. Maybe its a plot developed by ESPN, cause you know they hate us.

It would be a huge blow if Baggett left. He's a great recruiter and teacher. And I would almost guarantee the Arnett kid leaving if this happened.

Why would he leave the NFL for Tennessee, only to go back to the NFL? It makes zero cents to me. I understand the money aspect, but at some point I would think think $375,000 a year and the title of "Associate Head Coach" would be initiative enough for him to want to stay at Tennessee. I understand that coaching is a fluid profession, but dang it sure does seem like stability is this program's acciles heal. With the young WR talent we have right now and the current players we have committed, I have to stay I believe that Coach Baggett will honor his commitment to Tennessee.

The Cowboys had no comment on cutting ties with Sherman. The list of potential successors includes University of Tennessee wide receivers coach Charlie Baggett, who held the same spot when he was on the Miami Dolphins staff with Garrett in 2005-06.

That's a heck of a list.

Being an assistant coach in the Pro's is very unstable even if they pay a little more per year. I think Baggett will realize this and understand he can be with the Vols for a long time without worried about being fired evey year. VOLS just may have to give him a pay increase though, which will be worth it. The Coaching Carousel continues........

baggett, hiestand and Chaney all will be prospects for NFL jobs everytime a job opens up and changes are made. may as well get used to that.

I love how teams just go through our staff cherry picking coaches along the way. It's great to have good coaches, doesn't do much good if you can't hang on to them more than one season though.

could someone pls tell me what this coach ever did but win a SB with someone else's team against the team he knew every weakness off . because after that i don't see much

I do find it funny that we went so many years and rarely lost coaches under Fulmer but now everyone but the equipment manager is being pursued by another team....

People have a fascination with Chucky because he's always mentioned for NFL openings. I share in the sentiment that he's way overrated as a head coach.

If baggett leaves will our receivers all transfer to the cowboys? If the receivers don't transfer to the cowboys will they need to grow extra fingers and an extra eye ball to be as good as they were with bagget? If they do grow extra fingers will adidas customize receiver gloves or will they have to cut holes in their current gloves to make room for the extra fingers? If the receivers do grow extra fingers will that be an NCAA violation? If the extra eye is deemed a violation will a simple eye patch remedy the violation? If the eye patch does remedy the violation will all our receivers be recruited by pirates? If some of our recievers can't swim will that affect their ability to be an effective pirate?
