Rumblings that Pruitt will stay if changes made in offensive side

I'm NOT arguing that. I've said numerous times he's to conservative.

You said he doesn't play freashman. I showed you that he does. You were wrong about that..
Playing them in limited time with a short leash is simple window dressing and doesn’t build their confidence and experience. If you look at the complete stats I don’t believe there’s much there in way of freshmen making a substantial impact. That’s what I mean by not playing freshman, not that they haven’t at all, but they’ve not been very aggressive in doing so, HB is a perfect case study- Chaney apparently has been working with him a lot and developing packages but JP was too afraid to play him, instead of playing him earlier in season to start the process of bringing him (and others) along! Ultimately my point is the head coach lacks leadership, vision and is insecure in trusting players and staff. It’s very easy to see 700 miles away from Ktown!

I know the SEC won’t allow it and neither will Fulmer
IIRC, Pruitt kicked the tires on Freeze as OC two years ago and Fulmer ok'd it. Saban also wanted him as OC but was told no by Sankey because he didn't want him in the league as long as Ole Miss was still on probation (due to what Freeze did). At that point both teams dropped it.

Go ahead and write this down, Freeze will be back in the SEC and we can either go to war with him or against him...

He’s a scumbag cheater also though. Fulmer will never hire someone with that baggage plus the high school stuff

"stuck int he mud" and "slow to develop" are not characteristics of Chaney's offense. His offense looks bad because the players he is coaching SUCK. His QB is a mental head case. The reason the offense is vanilla is because Chaney cant teach these guys anything remotely complex because they will F is all up on the field.

The offensive line players couldn't stop a dead turtle from getting to the QB and the QB is terrible even when he isn't pressured.

None of this is a condemnation of Chaney or his offensive style. Its a condemnation of the players.

You can criticize this coaching staff's ability to train and develop players. That's a real issue. But Chaney's ability to call a good game when he has players that can execute it an undisputable fact.
I feel ya, why wouldn’t he adapt his scheme to his players?

First off, Pruitt is here for year 4 no matter what changes are made in Offense players or coaches.

Dream scenario is that Fulmer sits down with Pruitt and tells him to not make the mistakes he made...let the OC run things and quit micromanaging.
That would be very hypocritical of Fulmer since that's exactly what he did that lead to his firing. Fulmer is starting to look like another bad hire..

They're all cheaters, some just do it btter than others. As far as that hi school crap, I saw two unsubstantiated stories told 10 years after they supposedly happened. No charges were ever made and no reprimands or suspensions by the hi school to my knowledge.

Innocent until proven guilty........

But I guess you're one of those where a rumor is enough to convict somebody......... especially if you don't like him.. I bet you felt the same way about AJ Johnson too, right? 🙄

No I knew AJ Johnson was innocent as soon as I read the report. The girl and her friend refusing to make further statements and destroying their phones so they couldn’t be used as evidence were pretty clear indicators.

So you know a lot about that hi school deal with Freeze then......

Edit: All I can say about the hi school thing is, if that were my daughter he supposedly made pull het shirt off in his office, at the VERY least there would've been an arrest report on me, where beat holy hell (or tried to) out of Freeze for doing it.....

I know that several several unrelated people spoke of his creepy actions around high school girls. Then when you throw in they younger hookers and what they said about him years later and the fact he’s a career cheater on the field too. He’s not coming and those whose opinions matter don’t want him

Several people... What are their names and what did they say? I'm genuinely curious. There has to be stories written about it. Those are serious allegations that leave a paper trail... If it's just he said/she said crap, than that's all it is, crap and don't waste my time with it.

As far as cheating goes.... EVERYBODY does it.. Everybody pays players. Some are just way better at it than others... Do you honestly not know this?

I am not so sure that Chaney is as good as we want to believe.

1. During his first tenure here, I remember many were frustrated with him and his tendency to abandon the run and get pass-happy and not mix in the run game. I know the response is going to be that during his first tenure here that Dooley sucked and Tyler Bray had a cannon for an arm.

2. When he came back to UT last year, he made a comment in an interview that concerned me. He said he wants to retire in Knoxville. The lack of innovation and adjustments with this offense makes me feel like he has already retired.

The offense has looked stuck in the mud last year and this year. It's very slow for plays to develop and appears to be very vanilla. When you look around the NCAA and NFL, the offensive game has changed but our offense hasn't. The inability of JG aside, has anyone come out and confirmed that it is indeed Coach Pruitt that is holding Chaney back from calling the plays? I know that is the speculation, but have not seen it confirmed.

I keep seeing criticism of the play calling but I don't think it is that bad, I think the execution is terrible on most plays. One item that I have noticed is our WRs are not very good either. They are not getting open for the QBs and plays are breaking down as a result.

I don't see us firing Pruitt so we need to get behind him and stop the negativity. As much as I hate it and agree that we should fire him.

The main issue is who do we hire to replace him? Not a lot of options out there. Matt Campbell at Iowa State might be our best bet or perhaps bring back Mark Richt.

Ha, one thing about Gruden... he wouldn't keep rolling that JG disaster out there week in and week out. He'd have a QB developed at least.

It is telling that Fulmer has not given Pruitt the dreaded vote of confidence yet.
What’s really telling is that Fulmer isn’t doing anything to help, like at all.

People get so caught up with who is an insider and who isn’t, they quit watching what’s going on. If everyone would just watch what’s happening vs what’s not it’s clear to see JP is done. It might be this year might not, but it’s over.

Chaney is an excellent OC. The weak links in the chain are QB and head coach.

Chaney should eat them both and then there would be no buyout.
I’ve actually heard that there’s a clause in Pruitt’s contract that his wife gets 75% of his buyout in the event that he is eaten by Chaney.

How old were the “escorts” that Freeze was involved with? I’m just curious when you say “younger”, how old are we talking about here.

A low IQ stubborn coach such as JP isn’t going to play freshman! What would Kiffbaf be doing with our offense? Case closed
I have no idea about his IQ score, but I do think he is stubborn. I do believe if Kiffin was our coach, JG would not be in there playing and that is the difference between an offensive minded coach vs. a defensive minded one. Only problem is we suck on both sides of the ball so I don't know where he goes from here.

Chaney, Weinke, and Friend all need to go and had no business here in the first place. Pruitt's only hope is to hire an OC that has put a top 5 offense on the field in the last 3 years and turn the offense over to him completely.
Last seven words on this post will never happen with Pruitt.
