Ruffin McNeill Named ECU's New HC

I'm not sure if this has been posted already, I looked and couldn't find anything. If so, please merge.

I think this is a great hire for a program like ECU. He was on the TX-Tech staff for 10 years and was their Assistant HC and LB coach and was the interim coach when Leach was fired. It's not a complete surprise since he is an ECU Alum, but still a surprise.

Yes. Good pick up for them. He should be able to recruit that area well.

I'll definitely follow ECU a little closer now.. I really was impressed by Ruffin after their bowl game. I thought he said all the right things, and handled himself very well. Good luck to him.

He seems to have hit the ground running too. Has already named an OC in Lincoln Riley, a good up-and-coming coach who was the recievers coach @ TX-Tech, and now he has his sights set on a DC, that being Appalachian State defensive coordinator John Wiley. I have a lot of friends who are ECU grads that live here in Charlotte and they are very pleased with this hire.
