Rucker article on the players

Per Rucker, for a little perspective.

"For those wondering why I'm only covering the #TeamPearl part of this story: Well ... the #FirePearl crowd won't come out publicly and play."

What does he want, an anti-Pearl rally? Or is he just hoping to draw out UT admin? If he wants the fire Pearl perspective he need only read this site. It's a simple arguement. Pearl broke the rules. He continued to break rules. He brought down the wrath of the NCAA. He embarrassed the university. Keeping him will do more harm than good as he will receive at least a one year show-cause penalty. Better to part ways and start rebuilding now.

Wonder how he explains his cheerleading for Pearl on Twitter? He writes the pro-Pearl stuff because he's obviously pro-Pearl and not objective.

Scotty says he wants to play for coach pearl, but he pearl would not get to coach his senior season regardless of if he left or not. Same goes for tobias, we know that there is no way he stays more than 2 years.

In regards to the article being bias I understand the thought of rucker not showing the other side of the coin with pearl staying rather than leaving, but as I read it the article was not about such topics and it was more about the thoughts of the players..period. He even went as far as to suggest Wooldridge probably does not want to play under pearl. If the article was about coach pearl I could understand the animosity, but it was about the players.

Tell Rucker to come on over to here. He'll get all he needs from the fire Pearl crowd.

He was just answering a question. The vocal majority of former and current players have started the #teampearl tag on twitter so that is what he is talking about. It's hard to tell two sides of the story when you are mostly seeing one. No decent writer is going to use anonymous posts on a message board as a counter argument.

And you have no idea what the penalty from the NCAA will be.

I've also seen where he's been called a bama troll.... Oh wait.... How could anyone come to that conclusion if he wasn't objective.... If I had I had to answer that for you..... probably the same way you wouldn't know because all you read is what is posted here to make your assumptions....

Incomprehensible that Rucker would write a whole article about how the players feel about Pearl being gone without bothering to mention that there's a giant suspension hanging over his head anyway. I guess Rucker feels freer to be a cheerleader how that he's working for KNS.

How is quoting players cheerleading?

He doesn't work for KNS.

Asking them about a potential Pearl firing without also asking them about the enormously high possibility of a Pearl suspension is asking about only half of the story. It's either cheerleading or professional incompetence.

He works for a site that has enough of a partnership with KNS that most of his articles appear on their website. Close enough.

The debate isn't about a suspension nor his potential suspension. It's about whether he's the coach or not. The players know there's a possibility of additional suspensions.

Not close enough. His parent company has a partnership with the KNS. He works for 247sports.

Neither Hopson nor Harris were going to be Vols past 2011-2012 anyway. There's no meaningful difference to either of them between Pearl being fired and Pearl being suspended next season -- unless, of course, they think Tony Jones is just awesome. It's one-sided to ask the players about a Pearl firing and ignore the white elephant in the room of a potential suspension.

I don't particularly care what the logo on Rucker's paycheck is. Both the web company he writes for and the KNS site where his articles appear are much closer to being a house organ than the Chattanooga paper where he used to work, and it's been obvious in the quality of his work since he made the switch. He's becoming a useful tool just like Writer32.

It's cheerleading. He seems to have turned into Griff Jr. after joining GVX.

LAWVOL should publish a FirePearl article and include the writer's name and picture. Seems to be full of knowledge on the subject and every other subject on this site.
