Tennessee coaches don't stay in their sport silos. There seems to be plenty of mutual encouragement, sharing of experiences, and availability for advice.

We know how Heupel publicly handled Boo Carter's discipline and subsequent return to the fold (which utilized the football team's player-led leadership council).

I'm trying to remember... have we seen Coach Barnes have to deal with a significant falling short of expectations by a player?

I kind of assumed that was the case, but I also assumed they weren't going to come out and flaunt the fact that she was immediately (or quickly) reinstated on the team.

I'm guessing with all the high-profile player visits we've had coming in recently that maybe our staff would have hoped to keep the energy and spotlight on them so as to not have their moments in the Big Orange Sun be shared with the next round of questions and criticisms or whatever is sure to come with any announcement regarding Whitehorn.

For instance, how crappy for Edwards if Kim would have had to spend the weekend answering questions about Ruby instead of being able to fully celebrate Oliviyah's excellent decision to verbally commit to the Lady Vols?

I wouldn't be surprised if we get an official announcement by week's end. Maybe give Edwards' commitment a few news cycles to happily blossom, and then come back to more serious news updates. We'll see.

Yeah she’s still been sharing info about the program on her instagram and has lady vol hoops in her bio.

I don’t think her status on the team was ever truly in jeopardy and hopefully she learned from this issue. I don’t expect us to get a formal announcement of her reinstatement. More likely someone asks Kim at the next media day and she just confirms Ruby is back with the team.

Guess that “the Coach had my back” messsge from Ruby was a good thing.

Just read on the internet that it is 42 days before first scheduled game. According to UT site countdown clock we are 42 days and 9 hours away. Oct 29 exhibition, Nov 4 counter!

Seems they are heading towards everyone starting on a Monday for standardization.

One thing for sure, its as clear as mud. I’ve seen a first contest date of November 11, yet there’s a full schedule November 3. I’ve seen he 42 days before first game numerous places. So for us that means tomorrow. Wayyyy too damn easy to give the teams a specific date, I guess.
