Rubio interviewing with USC?

Another spy? Who doesn't he have his hooks in?

This is more true than you know. There are thoughts that X wants Rubio to get all the files of players that he was recruiting that were left there when he had to leave the complex in all the craziness. What good that could do him now, I don't know, but maybe he had a lot of '11 stuff in there.

Rubio turned down the USC offer and is staying at UT per Brent Hubbs! Do not know if it has been posted already.

IF this is true...that means he took the interview. He should be canned ASAP if true...whether he turned down the offer or not.

Yes VERY TRUE and so what if he did an interview. Obviously he felt UT was a better place then USuC.

Rubio may very well feel that way. But doing an interview two days before NSD is unacceptable. You either put off the interview until after NSD or you don't do it.

He should be dismissed before his plane touches down in Knoxville.

He probaly seen the writing on the wall, realizing that they are going to be on probation and he will be out of a job in 2 years

I would have to say Dooley gave him his blessings. Rubio will be a huge recruiter for Tennessee, it is very well documented at how this guy is going to be a serious force in recruiting. Good thing you do not make staff decisions!

Maybe Monday is his day off....

1) I obviously don't make staffing decisions for the athletic department at UT

2) Why you think Rubio makes recruiting decisions is a mystery to me. He does likely have access to very sensitive info

3) I seriously doubt you make hiring decisions in a competitive field...otherwise you'd see the issue with Rubio fielding a job interview at this critical time

EDIT:

4) If Dooley blessed this interview, we are in big trouble

1)Glad you don't

2)Markeith seems to think highly of Rubio, as I am sure other recruits do. Did not say he made decisions regarding recruiting, but fact of the matter is the guy SELLS UT, and in future will play a major role in recruiting.

3) I own a small sports bar and if a one of my bartenders thought they had a better opp. elsewhere I would never hold them back, even if it someone I disliked. I have faith that I treat my employees VERY well.

4) See above,Dooley will not hold someone back if they think they have a better opp. elsewhere, he has faith in the program and if he in fact did decide to leave, THANK YOU SEE YOU LATER. Rubio stayed end of discussion!

Why do you think Rubio plays any role in who comes to UT? He's not a coach. Not even a former player. If you count making hotel arrangements or driving as part of the recruiting process, you may be a first. I promise you that Ambles - or any other former, present, or future UT recruit - does not care about Rubio's presence or opinion. If you have other information I'd like to hear it. If so, he's certainly underpaid.

I've got no issue with a coach, staff member, or admin going out and finding a better job. In fact, I was not bothered that Kiffin and Co. did the same. You won't find a post of mine saying as much.

Having someone with sensitive recruiting information interviewing two days before NSD with the program that just took a big portion of our staff in the past few weeks is an issue. He should have waited until after NSD. And if Dooley gave the blessing to the interview (which I am not conceding he did) would show a lack of understanding of the situation. Rubio should be shown the door.

What is this sensitive info that Rubio has? I mean seriously people a file with a phone number, his HS coach's name, and whether he prefers blonde or brunette is not sensitive info.

Let me play devil's advocate. Lets say all these new coaches we have bring a whole new pipeline of different spots to look for recruits. They each have a notebook full of names for the 2011, 2012 classes, coaches names of said schools, contacts, etc. Someone is in charge of loading that on lets say the coaches office computer. Could it not be possible that was the case. Or it could have just been a pay off drop to keep shut about what happened when Kiffin was here. Oh, well.

What the hell does that have to do with February, 3rd, 2010?

Seriously? Pay off drop??? From a not so secret trip to L.A.? Geez. Turn down the conspiracy meter a couple of hundred notches.
