that seems to be the one that comes up the most when people say "it's easy to fix the RR"

1. RROD isn't a problem on the later 360 models. Meanwhile YLOD is still a problem on all PS3 models

2. Its free to fix 360. Fixing PS3 costs you $150

although not free, you can fix it for less than $10, which might as well be considered free compared to $150. if jtrain and bearcat can figure it out anyone can do it

I've got a newer 4gig, with the older style HD. Going on 20 months of heavy use no issues.

All I know is I have a 2006 model that just now finally broke for the first time. They pretty much just said sorry, warranty's expired. That'll be $150 plus your shipping costs

supposedly, yes. The slim model changed, among some other things, the one large fan to two smaller fans to better cool the hardware and keep that area from drastically overheating again

No, its the last model that accepted the old HD. My wife has the new black one, only had it since january though.
