RPI Discussion.

Yep. One is 58 and the other 59.

I have lost confidence in liveRPI this week. They have been off twice that we have caught.

Team rankings is better if waiting until the next day is possible

Are they off or just because so many games happened yesterday there was a lot of movement in Rpi?

LiveRPI had arkansas down to 85 well after their game with kentucky last Tuesday. Iirc they didn't correct until late the next day.

They had us at 59 yesterday which was correct apparently but just had the record wrong at 10-7.

Some kind of glitch in their system

Tennesse a 12 seed
Arkansas a 11 seed
Missouri a 11 seed
Kentucky a 6 seed
Florida a 3 seed

Xavier a 5 seed
Virginia a 8 seed

Haha love your pic of CCM for your account.

Actually I think we can sweep Florida because they have only one big to stop Jeronne and jarnell so if we sweep them and not lose to auburn or anyone else that has a low rpi will be in and who knows me might make a huge run in the sect

Yeguete is capable of guarding either IMO.

The best thing we have going for us is Florida is a different team on the road. Both of their losses came on the road, they blew out a home away from home opponent in J'Ville, went to Overtime in Arkansas and barely beat Auburn. They'll have Alabama and Mississippi State before they visit Knoxville (but we visiting there first)

Hmmm idk if stokes plays like he did against uk and lsu then ye gutter will get man handled but if we see the stokes that appeared at a and m were in trouble but stokes will handle him. And yea, but so far we're not a terrible team away from home, just 3 and 4

I don't see any way that the SEC gets 5 teams in

You've got 2 locks; Kentucky and Florida.

And then 4 teams on the bubble; Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas and LSU. Probably in that order as of now as well.

I would guess 4 get in, but could be as few as 2 or as many as 6.

Of the 4, only one is projected to have an rpi in the 40s. guess who.
The next 4 games could be telling.
Losses to Ole Miss or Bama could drop projections into the 50s. It's in our hands.

Yup.

Tonight is a game we need to win though, lose this one and winning at Florida or at Missouri becomes a must.

In his tenure at UT, CCM is...
1-3 vs Bama
1-3 vs Ole Miss

seems like both played a lot of zone. Could be wrong on Bama though. I know we stood around a lot on offense though. I was at the bama game last year and at the SEC tourney. Horrible offensive movement and flow.

So question is it good that lsu and uk won last night for our rpi?

You probably want to pull for LSU so they'll be a quality win for us. If they start slipping, we could be competing for a tourney spot with them, so ideally you want them to do well or completely tank. UK doesn't have as dramatic of an effect on us since we lost to the #13 team on the road. That's a low-risk/high-reward game, and since they're virtually a lock for the tourney, our RPI won't be affected that much based on how their season goes.
