RPI and Bracketology

North Carolina has 20 hits in 6 innings.

I think that is good.

With our pen, and the NCAA “affection” for UT, I may as well try to get tickets for me and CarolinaSon at the ‘Bosh for Sunday or Monday; that feels like where we are headed.

Auburn moves up and a Florida takes their spot at 8

I don’t think NC State deserves a spot but with coach retiring they need only an pulse to qualify.

I believe 3 of 4 first for our deserve a spot more than a Kentucky, especially Mercer.

In fact, Kentucky and NC State need to stay home

Any of the first 4 out could replace KY.

If game-canceling KenSucky goes to a regional, they need to have bought tickets.

USM would be a tough draw because they have great pitching. Not sure how because it seems like he’s been in college for 19 years, but I think Oldham is still on their staff.

Anybody else think this CWS winner will not be an SEC team? GT is my pick.

GT and UNC both hit consistently through their lineup, and both have solid pitching staffs. D. Loy barely sniffed the field the latter part of the season for GT, and he would have been a mainstay in TN's pen.

Both those teams are good. I don't know anything about UCLA other than their record.

UGA is capable, and Florida is on a run right now, but if GT or UNC get to Omaha, I think they may have the depth to make it happen.

Oldham was on the ‘23 and ‘24 teams we played, but was drafted by the Twins in ‘24 and has stayed injured in minor league ball.

Thanks, thought I’d heard his name come up in one of their highlights I watched from this season. I did just remember Thomas Crabtree transferred there from Tennessee.

I had to look it up.

He did. I don’t know how he’s doing. I’m gonna see if I can find an article on their pitching.

Edit: Meh, I just wait until the series. I’m sure they’ll discuss it.
