The bullpen was TERRIBLE today. Rosas and Crnkovich continued their performances of last year, giving up multiple runs in outings less than 1 inning.
I realize we're only 2 games through, but the bullpen outside of Tyrelle Harris and Danny Wiltz hasn't looked very impressive. I think it'll get better, but it might take a while.
The worst thing is how hard the Vols bullpen makes it look to simply record an out. It's an adventure at times. Oregon State late in the game would bat each inning for nearly 20-30 minutes.
Morgado was AWESOME today for 5 innings, but ran into trouble in the 6th inning. Him and Hernandez are gonna have to throw 6-7 innings every start to keep us in the game against good hitting teams.
I think the offense is gonna be really good this year, it's just that OSU has an awesome pitching staff. The reliever who got the win for them today was the CWS MVP 2 years ago. Davis, Hawn, Liles, Horne, and Lockwood are gonna crush the ball this year.
Oh, and Kentrail Davis hit a bomb, which was nice to see.
