Rooting for the SEC?

How many of you are rooting for all the SEC teams to win their bowl games? Anybody rooting against a particular SEC team like the Gators or the Tide. Me personally, I want to see the SEC drill all their opponents. I think the SEC is where it's at, and during Bowl season is where to prove it.

I hate LSU and Florida, but will be rooting ( with my orange on ) for victories for the sake of the conference.

I've always pulled for the SEC in bowl games.. That being said.. If Ohio State beats LSU, it wouldn't bother me one bit.. Going to the LSU messageboards and reading post after post after post where they basically think Ohio State shouldn't even show up to the game, makes me laugh.. They seriously believe that LSU will rout Ohio State.. The arrogance is just overwhelming..

All I can say is Florida had better not lose to Michigan. My inlaws are from there and I'd never hear the end of it, especially the way Florida routed us.:no:

I think they've been watching to many replays of last year's title game. That being said... LSU is the superior team running away. Talent & experience are definitely in favor of LSU, but I cant help but think of a little experience us Vols had a few years ago when Peter Warrick listened to what everyone else was saying before the Fiesta Bowl in '99.

I certainly think LSU is capable of manhandling OSU... we'll see in a few days.


I still hope Bama gets bombed and if Florida doesn't throttle Michigan, Im gonna be really disappointed.

I would pull against UF if they were playing the Taliban in soccer with the right to impose a'sharia on the line... That means that I'll even pull for a Michigan team I also don't like... but probably to no avail.

It wouldn't be good for the conference, but if Hawaii snuck up and beat Georgia I would probably need surgery to remove the grin from my face.

I think Miles is an overrated egomaniac... but I'd like to see LSU win against OSU.

I'd like to see UGA beat Hawaii so badly that it will be 40 years before even the most stupid poll voters forget that a WAC school that has one of the worst two SOS's in the country DOES NOT DESERVE A BCS BID EVEN IF THEY WENT UNDEFEATED.

This is off topic, but the best part about beating Georgia 2 years in a row is that for 2 years now, I wear my orange and white just like I do win-lose-draw, except it's very satisfying to watch Georgia fans walk up to you like they are going to say something and at the last second remembering they got blown out and walk away silent & pi$$ed off.

Let's see Florida isn't playing Notre Dame and neither is Bama. I will definitely not be rooting for either of them.

I'm with GA. I don't see it happening, but I'd love to see Hawaii smack fUGA right in the mouth. Could care less what happens between LSU and tOSU, other than the fact I picked LSU to win.

I hope the Vols win.....could care less about the rest of the SEC.....wouldn't bother me a bit if they all lost!

I can't find myself cheering for bama or florida after the way they kicked our teeth in this year. In fact i can't ever find myself cheering for either. The very thought of it makes me want to hurl. A little reminder if everyone has forgot 100-37:puke5:

I used to be a fan of the conference (minus Bama) but I have to admit that I am actually for O State over the Tigers. I agree that they are insane in their arrogance (It rivals Bammers?). I saw this at Neyland when they were there in 2000.

I am always against the Bammers. I would not loose sleep is Hawaii beat the horrid dawgs. I hope Kentucky beats FSU. I don't care about Auburn one way or another. I want the Gators to beat Michigan. I want the piggies to win.

BUT WE NEED TO BEAT WISCONSIN!! That is the most important thing.

If you don't understand how recruiting works, and you're just small minded, then you're frankly just a redneck. The better teams, coaches, players, and facilities in the SEC makes the "SEC" more of a target for high profile players. That helps TN in the long run.

Yeah, LSU winning the National Championship will really help Tennessee get some recruits in Knoxville. Please. Don't call anything moronic if you're going to bring that idea to the table.

a guy named mullet with ted nugent as his avatar trying to tell me I'm a redneck. For starters, I never want Tennessee to lose. Ever. Do i want a coaching change? yes, but that is beside the point. I'm not an SEC fan, I'm a Tennessee fan. what an idiotic assumption.

LSU winning the National Championship is going to bring them 100x more recruiting momentum than it will Tennessee. LSU getting better means Tennessee's job will be harder. Sorry to be the one to break it to you.

Funny you should mention "out of the box" thinking. I imagine a cardboard box would be pretty difficult for you to navigate.

Yes you root for the SEC.

Living vicariously through the other SEC teams (LSU this year, Florida last year) is all we have now.

I live in Los Angeles and you guys would be suprised to hear all the crap they talk about the SEC! They think we are overrated and ESPN is all homers to the SEC. Maybe they get defensive because they know they suck! So now I pull for ALL SEC teams (even Bama and FLA!). I hope the PAC-10 loses all games, especially USC!!! GO SEC and most of all GO VOLS!!!!
