The root cause of this game, not to mention our 20 year slide into oblivion, is none other than Philip Fulmer. He has been college football poison since 1999.

Just plain stupid. Fulmer underachieved his last 5 seasons no doubt. But he wasn’t responsible for the utter incompetence of the AD after he left.

Even the Pruitt hire isn’t 100% on him because he inherited a sh!t sandwich of a coaching search from Currie.

In the first 70 years of the SEC (1932-2002), we won more games than any other CFB team

Then we hired Mike Hamilton. Penny pinching on assistants plus 4 (5 if you include Schiano) straight bargain bin HC hires is why we are the biggest joke in the SEC....

Now, I realize this was incorrect and have updated the post as follows:

The root cause of this game, not to mention our 20 year slide into oblivion, is the inability of half the VolNation to realize that Philip Fulmer is the root cause. Many do not even realize a problem exists.​

The first steps in solving a problem are admitting you have one and identifying it honestly. Since we have been unable to complete these steps 20 years into our slide, the road to recovery (assuming recovery is still possible) will be long and difficult. At this point, I can only hope I live long enough to see it.
