Dude was a baller at Purdue. Seems he was hurt a lot in the NFL. Maybe he saw playing was coming to an end & got depressed. NFL does a horrible job helping these guys cope with Mental health challenges.

Permanent solution to a temporary problem. So Sad. Early 20's seem to be a tipping point for some. Lost a brother (23 at the time) and a dear friends son a few weeks ago age 24. You never know what hell goes on between someone else's ears, but I hope he rests in peace.

I think a lot of the NFLs problem comes from the disparity between what the good-life of an NFL paycheck looks like from a distance, and what the realities are.

the NFL can't really stop it, because its their chief marketing tool. kids see the top 1% of the NFL and have been raised to think that will be them. they don't even realise that making the NFL already puts them in the top 1%, and that you can't count on making it.

Rondale Moore earned approximately $8.92 million in total cash over his NFL career from 2021 to his passing in February 2026. I'll take that reality all day.

The Arizona Cardinals do suck, but they're not the reason he was constantly injured (even on other NFL teams).

not denying that he made plenty of money for you and me. but I doubt he lived in one story house with an unfinished basement driving a 13 year old car.

how many people are taking a cut of that 8.92 million? government takes half. agent takes some chunk, you throw in grifters, family or otherwise, and there are a lot of demands on him. its easy street if you are just passingly competent with money, but if the NFL has proven anything is that stars will still find ways to go broke.

Wondering how many concussions/shots to the head he took.

One of my former middle school students committed suicide 3 weeks ago.
It's hard.
I kept up with her and spoke to her at her workplace weekly.
She was just great, but her life was hard.
