4-6 months...? Seems kinda short for that type injury. Well shoot, that would put him back just in time for the UT game... I call B.S. On that one.

I just tore mine March 16 and have done all therapy for pre surgery and I just was scheduled for surgeryh April 24. The orthopedic surgeon said in 6 months after that I should be able to play basketball. Now athletes have better support tesms for getting back healthy than average Joes like me. On the other hand SEC football is s different animal than bball hiking and golf with friends. I would assume a redshirt is in the players best interest.

Well I feel bad for Powell but I have no sympathy for gator fans. I got told by several of them they would have beat us even if hunter didn't get hurt. Let's see if they can beat us without Powell.

Hate that this young man got hurt. I don't like hearing about anyone getting hurt especially for the VOLS.

For his sake, I hope he recovers to 100% and can get back on the field again. Selfishly, I hope it takes at least 5 1/2 months.

He'll be back for the Tennessee game you watch, 100%

That may be so and would be incridibly selfisf on Muschamps behalf. Players won't be 100% by then so huge risk of reinjury or hurting some other body trying to compensate.

Ronald Powell, DT, of Florida just tore his ACL and is expected to miss at least the first month of the season. Their other DT Easley is already out with an ACL tear and is expected back in July. Powell was the nations #1 recruit a couple of years ago.

This could be good for the Vols in September!!

GBO!!

Ronald Powell of Florida Gators, team's sacks leader, tears ACL - ESPN

Oh yeah, I forgot about Easley already being out. In that case, I hope the deputy Sharriff gets run over by a big ole freight train!!!

Wooo whoooooo!!!!!!!!! I don't think the gators are going to have enough players to field a team in 2012. They are staring at a four win season this year.
