Sorry i didn't read his bio as most of that stuff is over hyped as a sales pitch. From looks though he seems like an average coach. We need elite to compete in SEC.

Like the fact he's been associated with a few professional teams and in various sports.

Hate the receding bangs, though.

I liked this part of his bio:

He took an under-weight high school offensive lineman named George Selvie and helped convert him into the only two-time first team All-American in USF history.

Dude went on to become a defensive lineman in the NFL

I did read his bio and overhyped or not it's impressive. I'd be satisfied with this hire. You don't go to speak in front of those particular organizations unless you know something special and other people know you know.

I did read the bio and wasn't very excited. Maybe he is the best thing since cold beer, but I wasn't sold. In the end I will trust CDD's judgement.

Bio reads well. Has plenty of peer recognition also, which is what I would think you'd look for. I wasn't too thrilled with "his looks" till I read the bio, but I would get behind this guy.

They went toe to toe with Miami and Clemson and beat them both, I'd say that's a pretty good accounting of what this guy can do.

The thing that separates the good S&C coaches from the others, is their ability to motivate and get inside the heads of the players. There is no magic bullet for S&C coaches. Mo short cuts, no magic workout routine. There a couple of different theories that they use, ie, Power lifting and HIT. Both have their pluses and minuses. Motivation is the key component.

To some, if someone hasn't been with a top 10 program, they are not impressive. That's the knock on Dooley. Up and comers need not apply.

So he is turning his back on his country now? It seems patriotism was his reasoning for leaving South Florida.
