I saw that earlier, miraculous, I can't believe he walked away.

Supposedly the halo that F1 mandated a couple years ago saved his life. Otherwise it would have been his head going into the fence.

Seems like it would be weird to drive with but it’s hard to argue against the safety benefit.

It's really great to see how far safety in Formula 1 has come. Obviously not ideal for the fire to happen in the first place or to go through the Armco like that, but he would have died immediately just a few years ago without the halo.

Halo was a life saver. Guard rail is outdated - hard to believe F1 approves of that. Safer barrier wouldn't have let the car through and probably wouldn't have split the car in half causing the fire.

IndyCar has it's own version of the halo.
