What happen to this top rated DT in the 2007 class....his grade not let him in or what

Grade issues is what I heard. Prep school at Hargrave I think, but HV will know for sure.

I think him, Cory Hall and Rae Sykes all said they wanted to come to UT.... that could obviously change but, for now, they all want to be a Vol.

hv, do I remember there being an issue with that transfer. Seems like I remember it could have cost him a year.

I have no idea, to be honest. And, personally, something just rubs me the wrong way about him. I think he doesn't have his priorities straight and may never wear the orange. I also think that we should have taken another DT from Louisiana for this past class. His name is Jonathan "Tank" English. He is about 6' 330 but moves way quicker than his size. He signed with Arizona State and is already their 3rd DT. He loved UT but we never offered. Huge steal for ASU.

I remember him being interviewed on the radio on signing day. He sounded excited to be here but at this point, I have to agree with you. It may be a long shot for him to make it back.

Who knows, though? We could have a mean JUCO DL class with Hall, Sykes, and Melancon, but they have to do the work.

I think he could be a huge sleeper, if he gets his stuff straight. Great size and speed. Could play inside or out.

Pretty solid, even against bad competition. He did do a number on Maryville in the playoffs his SR year, though.

If you add Everson Griffens Jr. and Sr. years of HS you almost get Halls Sr. year (halls Jr. year was even better). I know it was against poor competition but it was still impressive.

I really like all three of Hall, Sykes, and Melancon..
they all have great Potential.. and they all have good size and athleticism.. i would love to get them in next year's class..
do u guys think that will happen?

It just depends on if they get their school work in. You don't turn away quality JUCO linemen if they want to come.
