Statement from Elizabeth Ailes:

I am profoundly sad and heartbroken to report that my husband, Roger Ailes, passed away this morning. Roger was a loving husband to me, to his son Zachary, and a loyal friend to many. He was also a patriot, profoundly grateful to live in a country that gave him so much opportunity to work hard, to rise—and to give back. During a career that stretched over more than five decades, his work in entertainment, in politics, and in news affected the lives of many millions. And so even as we mourn his death, we celebrate his life...

Perhaps no one person is more responsible for the political divide we have in America. I have nothing good to say about him.

I hope his family finds peace and comfort during this difficult time for them.

This x 1000. The fact that so many do not acknowledge the truth of this statement is what allows the statement to be true.

Yea about that. The Democrat elites wanted her to be the one and even screwed over Sanders to get her there. You'll got what you deserved without anyones role from Ailes, Russians, and the aliens from close encounter of the third kind.

If you can't acknowledge Fox's role in paving the way for Trump's presidency, then you're not very insightful.

You have to also give the DNC some credit for Trump being POTUS...they paved the road to nomination for Hillary by running over Bernie and the other candidates with a steamroller...and I believe the only candidate that Trump could beat was Hillary.

George Soros says hi, without him there is no Fox news channel even started imo.

Edited for leconte: Ailes 2017 worth; 100M

Soros 2017 worth; 25B

Ailes money didn't make Clinton use private servers, or the f*#*up of Bhenghazi and then blame it on a youtube video. Nor did it make the DNC screw over all the candidates running against her.

I get where the DNC was coming from. After the first black POTUS lets go for the first woman POTUS. It's a great decision, not a great decision on who they picked.

so funny the left's meltdown over 1 news channel. The worthless bastards have every other channel, just about every newspaper in the country and they constantly whine over 1 channel. haha so fun to watch

The only thing that I know about Ailes is that when he loses at something.... he probably doesn't run away and hide.

It's insane how true that statement is. Bernie Sanders would have had such a huge turnout that I'd probably be working for a Dem right now.

Just like editorial boards and mainstream media have been paving the way for certain candidates for years and years.

This is a tweet from former Fox News contributor Marc Lamont Hill who used to appear on 'The O'Reilly Factor' and 'On the Record with Greta Van Susteren' regularly.

Roger Ailes has died. Wow. Sending deep and heartfelt condolences to everyone who was abused, harassed, exploited, and unjustly fired by him.

Marc Lamont Hill says he was fired in 2010 by Ailes for defending Obama just a little too well on O'Reilly one night.

Ailes, the man behind the most humorous tag line in history: Fair and Balanced

I'm curious if they laughed every time it was said.

I'm sure he's very proud of that statement. What a toolbag.

If you can't acknowledge Fox's role in paving the way for Trump's presidency, then you're not very insightful.

I said what paved Trumps way to POTUS in an earlier post but let's play your game. Your blaming Fox News for him being elected. So by this your saying Fox News beat out CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC, CBS, and ABC.

What does that say about all these left spewing news companies that one channel can beat out 6+ channels?
