No advised for classes. tell you what to take per semester for your major and to keep you on track. You have to go once a year based on Id number up here at UT. You can go for every semester but only have to once a year. I have to for fall. I waited way to long to call for a spot and had to just walk in and wait.

Thanks. It's been way too long since college!

What you are saying makes sense. But LWS is a very very credible source on this board. He has a ton of knowledge. So I'm gonna wait and see here.

I know he LWS is, but when rogan walked out he seemed fine. the other two and myself were talking about bryce brown and how they couldn't wait to see him blow up in practice. Also talked about how O and Monte are amazing coaches. Also talked about crompton and how he changed his phone number 4-5 times do to people messing with him. When he walked out they asked him if he liked what he was advised to take and he seemed disgruntled but fine like ever student after an advising appointment. (Its a big school and no adviser ever gets it right. I took a full semester freshman year of classes I didnt need because they grabbed the wrong file.) They never mentioned him failing out or anything.

Ok but what about the supposed 8 others? If grades are already out wouldn't the news have been broken by now?

Guys this is a LIE!!! I know for a fact its bogus. I personally saw him getting advised on monday. He was with CJ flemming and Art Evans. If he was kicked out he would of known alot sooner then now. Grades go in quicker then 4 weeks after Spring term ends. Also you can't be advised if your no longer a student. I have had friends kicked from Ut and I was once on probation. If you get kicked you dont go to advising to appeal. You have to send a letter of appeal and then wait on a decision.

I was thinking this too. Unless he took mini-term classes and failed those and that dropped his GPA, he would've found out he was out at least 3 weeks ago. Him failing Mini-term is the only way I see this being true

You have to be on atleast 1 semester of probation. to fail out. Also Mini term is not considered a semester. I dont think you can fail out of school during miniterm. I could be wrong but I know there is a restriction on hours for summer so you cant complete a full semester of work. I'm taking 12 hours over the 2 sessions of summer and am not allowed to take anymore.

If he is appealing, then he is still in school. He would go through the standard advisement process, as if he were going to be a continuing student - otherwise he would have problems if he were to win his appeal, but wasn't properly registered for the summer/fall.

As I stated a few post up it ISN'T true.

I also hope it isn't true but, just going by what I'm hearing... been rumored for a while now... thinks sounded more definite today that these guys will have to win appeal or what ever the process is....

its possible I could be using some incorrect terminology. Perhaps, these kids are just at risk of not being eligible for football (although it sounded like more than that).

Since I never entered the doors of a college, I may get lost in words sometimes. :cray:

That is incorrect. when you are kicked out you are kicked out. You can appeal their decision to be let back in. But straight up when you get the letter of being kicked out you are no longer a UT student period.

If he was put on academic probation that means his core GPA is under 2.0. Which means he got less then a 2.0 this semester and had a low GPA in the first place. He might be kicked off the team due to being on academic probation.

Welcome. don't mean to be crude or atleast come off that way. I just finally know something worth while with factual backing. If LWS is correct then crap. 1 i look dumb, 2 UT has screwed some of my friends over, and 3 rogan is gone.

Fact of the matter is, if this is true and his grades are below a 2.0 he's not taking care of his commitments and should straighten up or ship out. With all of the resources available to atheletes there should be no reason for this unless you are taking the academic part of being a collegiate athelete as a total joke. I've seen a ton of these kids get kicked out for it under Fulmer and CLK won't have any part in it either. They should appreciate the chance to get a full ride to an amazing and special place.

But my question is, why didn't he get kicked out when Morley did if this is the case? I don't think a mini term can cause you to be kicked out. I could be wrong... Just doenst sound right.

Has the summer semester started yet? If it has, then I am incorrect...I thought that it hadn't started yet and thus he wasn't officially out until the appeal fails.

Mini term grades will be posted by transcript tonight at midnight. And more info will be available then.

That is per Brent Hubbs.....

So is Hubbs saying he is gone? Tenn tradition: Summer classes started monday morning. mini term started back in may. I believe the 7th. I saw rogan the afternoon of the first day of classes.

If this is true and there are 8 others who could get dismissed can anyone speculate as to who they might be? I'm just trying to see how bad this really can end up being if true because an earlier post said some were starters.

How many people are as sick and tired of athletes taking for granted what they are given? I'm not saying they have an "easy day" path to graduation. But I am saying that they get free education, tutors, free housing, book stipends and cost of living stipends and they're pi$$ing it away. I, like many of you, am a UT grad and had several to many classes with athletes and witness first hand how so many of them screw off their opportunity. If you're an athlete and you're not giving your all academically as well as on whatever field you happen to play then kick rocks and let someone else have your scholarship. Sorry, Major Wingate. Sorry, Demetrice Morley. Sorry, countless other jerk offs who waste my VASF donations there is a rather high percentage against you being a profession althete outside of Turkey or Lithuania.

One of the reasons that our program was in shambles. We have no option but to take this on the chin and move on. Fulmer sure was a great recruiter. I don't think I have EVER seen this many kids leave/get kicked out of school after a coaching change. Kind of makes you wonder.

It obviously should be noted that Kiffin has had control of the team the entire spring semester. Any player that didn't make the appropriate grades during the spring are all Kiffin, not Fulmer....Also, how many starters have been kicked off? I can think of Morley. Coleman and Creer just left b/c they didn't think they fit into kiffin's offense like they did Fulmer's.... Hell, you hire me to coach a 5-7 team and I'll kick off a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers in order to prove a point... I highly doubt that none of our starters have been caught with drugs and drinking underage....

Summer classes don't count as a semester out of the university. If you fail out during the fall, you have to stay out for the spring. And if you fail in the spring then you can not enroll until the next spring semester.
