Rogan officially gone...

Thanks Titanhope. With the Titans needing a linebacker do they take a shot with him. I believe they only have one first round pick and no second, so if he does go in the third the Titans could make a move on him. Just thinking out loud.

No problem man.

1st Round: We'll either have pick #16 or #17. We tied with San Fran and all the tie breakers were even, so they'll flip a coin at the Combine to see who gets #16 (I know, fate of a franchise could be decided by a coin flip...). At this point, I'm hoping the Titans go DE. Vanden Bosch and Kearse are unrestricted free agents, and both really dropped off without Haynesworth. A pass-rushing DE will be needed. Georgia Tech DE Derrick Morgan is my favorite for the Titans, since GaTech did a lot of stunts and the Titans do too, so he'd be perfect. Unfortunately, he'll probably be gone by then. After him, I like South Florida DE Jason Pierre-Paul, USC DE Everson Griffen, Ole Miss DE Greg Hardy, and Florida DE Carlos Dunlap. Everyone of these guys have great upside, but with upside comes question marks so they'll be bigger gambles than Morgan. JPP and Griffen have huge upside (JPP may have the highest ceiling of any DE in the Draft), and will probably go higher than Hardy or Dunlap. Hardy has injury concerns, but talent wise, he's a high 1st RD pick. Dunlap...I've seen him drop to the 3rd RD in some mocks, and that just ain't gonna happen. He's got too much talent, and someone will take a flyer on him in the late 1st/early 2nd. Joe Haden would be the dark horse pick, but aside from him, I'd go Morgan then JPP then Griffen.

2nd Round: You're exactly right ATO, the Titans have no 2nd RD'er. We traded it to New Englad for their 3rd RD pick last year and picked TE Jared Cook. At the time, it was a good choice since the Titans FO and coaches put Cook's value as a 2nd RD'er, so they thought the trade was perfectly fair. Cook was a beast in preseason, but then he got hurt and that set him behind and he struggled to see the field. He's a WR in a TE's body though, and he could develop into a poor man's Shannon Sharpe if he can put it all together - I believe he's smarter than Ben Troupe, who was thick as a brick in the head, lol. But man did Troupe have talent. Sucks he never panned out. The downside to trading our 2nd this season is that a TON of underclassmen are coming out, which means better talent later in the Draft. So a player who'd be a future 1st RD pick will be there in the 2nd.

3rd Round: We'll have 2 picks in the 3rd - our normal 3rd and a 3rd RD compensatory pick from losing Haynesworth in free agency. The comp pick will be at the very end of the 3rd, while our normal pick will be in the middle. It's at this point that I start looking at Left Guard, Return Specialist, OLB (If Bulluck leaves in FA), and CB. We'll have Gerald McRath at OLB, Stephen Tulloch at MLB (A RFA who'll probably be tendered), and David Thornton at OLB. So OLB isn't an immediate need, but depth is needed. Nick Harper is an unrestricted free agent and probably won't be brought back, and I doubt Rod Hood is re-signed either. If they're confident in Mouton and McCourty, then only depth is needed her. Eugene Amano is probably leaving in FA, so unless OT Troy Kropog can move inside to LG, OG is a need. Mouton failed as a RS, so that's probably the biggest need. Javier Arenas fills CB depth and RS, so he'd probably be a good pick. If he's gone, go BPA.

4th Round: Dunno how many picks we'll have here, but I do know we have our normal 4th. It's at this point I would pick Rogan. He adds CB depth, and can handle RS duties. I think he's got higher upside at CB than Arenas, but Arenas is farly superior at RS. Either way, we don't need Devin Hester returning kicks. Just a reliable, consistent returner who takes care of the ball - like Chris Carr.

My ideal, realistic Titans Draft would probably go:

1st RD: Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida
2nd RD: None
3rd RD: Navarro Bowman, OLB, Penn State
3rd RD (Comp): Mike Johnson, OG, Alabama
4th RD: Dennis Rogan, CB/RS, Tennessee

But like I said, I'm really high on Rogan and the Titans need a RS, but he'd be a reach at that point. Not many people know much about him (He truthfully should've stayed for his senior year, but I understand why he declared). CB's are reached for in RD's 2-4 all the time though, especially relatively the under the radar ones and ones from non-BCS schools.

Titan good read I like my Titans. Yeah this class is going to be stacked on the defense side of the ball I think alot of good de's coming out. Fisher seems to kinda like the "no name" guys not saying Rogan is at all but could work to his advantage in Fisher's eyes. Titanhope keep me posted if hear anymore Titans news. Do you think Bullock is gonna be back?

Do you think Bullock is gonna be back?

Prior to his injury, it seemed that the odds of Bulluck returning were pretty slim. But after tearing his ACL, he may not be ready to play until preseason, and who knows how he'll play afterwards, especially considering he's in his 30's.

He's not gonna get as much money as he was planning on getting because of his injury, so returning to the Titans on a 1-year deal or something could be possible. It all depends on what Bulluck is thinking.

The wildcard is having no CBA. An uncapped offseason and a smaller FA market due to so many players being RFA's means that pickings will be slim, and players will be overpaid for. There's a chance a team will overlook the injury and sign him to a nice contract just because the other LB pool is really bad. Market value is gonna be inflated, and I dunno if the Titans will be willing to overpay.

Although, there is the chance they place the Franchise Tag on him. If I were the Titans, that's the action I would take.
