Rogan a "slider." SI says he....

Rogan has already held 3 future NFL first round WRs to under 100yds receiving. He will be a serviceable NFLer.

Given his 40 time, Rogan had an incredible shuttle time (4.10), indicating quick change of direction. Isn't that more important and straight speed for a CB anyway?

Yes, shuttle is more important for CB's than 40 time, but 4.7 is slow. He's also had the luxury of having Berry on the field for 3 years.

Marvin West, former KNS sports editor who now writes for the various Shopper-News community newspapers in Knox County, had an excellent article on Rogan and the difficulties he faced/faces. It probably can be found on the Shopper-News site, or google Marvin West.

It never ceases to amaze me how people look at ht, wt, 40 times and immediately feel like they know more than the people who are paid to evaluate talent.

Dennis may never make a 53 man roster, who knows. But having been around that kid for a lot of years I doubt anyone has more heart, or more to prove and that's a serious motivator. Any team that takes a chance on him will get more than they invest and a benefit to other players because of his attitude.

He was looked over as a senior at Fulton because he did have Harrison Smith's size or speed, yet he dominated every game he played in (ask Pearl-Cohn, Carter and Alcoa how dominate he was), and at UT it seemed each year he had to beat out the new guy and he did. Once on a team, you can't keep him off the field.
