Roe vs Wade Overturned

I believe the majority of laws should be federal and states should not have a say so in that at all . Personal opinion

NOOOOOOOO . How is that even possible that you don’t trust Dems or Reps but you trust the federal government to do what’s right ?

Let's not get carried away. It is, and has always been, about balance. A state wants to impose an income tax? Let the voters of the state decide. A state wants to treat some of their citizens as second-class and unequal? Feds step in on that.

My question is if we divide the country state by state like what it seems that u would prefer then how would u still call use The United States

I’m curious. Did you support the recent Supreme Court decision to revoke the additional limits of 5 states + DC on “May carry laws”?

It did make our laws more congruent on a national level.

Or is that only a good thing if the federal government does what you want them to do?

This is pretty simple I have a better chance with federal government getting right then state government that has been constantly falling me

I’m a Socialist so that should answer your question . U can’t be United if each state has there own ideas of what works . U can’t United 56% of the country think one think and 44% think the other . Call it what u want but ur not United at all

Are you convinced that if the federal government changes their laws, the 44% will change their thinking?

Did the Supreme Court today change your views on abortion?

You seem to have this entirely backward and believe the key to remaining 1 country is to force things on the people you disagree with rather than allowing them to have laws you may personally dislike.

If you were in control of state X and a law passed you didn’t like would you be more willing to leave the union if that law allowed you the ruler of state x to make your own law on the subject or if the law was forced on you from the top down. The answer seems painfully obvious

Nooooooooo we do not . The federal government makes broad sweeping laws that do not , let me say that again , DO NOT help individuals but large voter groups . Our constitution, backed up by states having rights are the only two entities keeping the federal government from sweep all of our rights under a rug at their whim.

I believe Gun reform but not more then I believe in a more United States . So to answer your question No . I’m not liberal . I believe that in a country where guns are the prominent option for self defense that everyone who is medically able should own a gun and go to a gun range at least once a month .

So you don’t care what the policies are as long as those policies are universal?

We could ban all abortions and as long as those abortions are banned in every state and DC? You really think that’s a better option?
